TV news… Records broken by Taylor Swift… JLo has a new song… Celebrity couple updates… and Miranda Lambert’s selfie shaming

In TV News, with “Yellowstone” ending after Season 5, CBS is going to start airing the series on Sunday nights this fall, starting with Season 1. We don’t have a premiere date for that just yet. And two years after they moved it over to Paramount+, CBS is bringing “SEAL Team” back to its Thursday night lineup. CBS also announced that “The Amazing Race” and “Survivor” will remain on the schedule for Wednesdays with 90 minute episodes. And “Big Brother” and “The Challenge: USA” will now also extend their seasons into the fall. Over on ABC, they dropped a perfectly cheesy promo to introduce us to “The Golden Bachelor.” Gerry (pronounced Gary) Turner is a 71-year-old retired restauranteur who lives in a lake house in Indiana. He loves hosting barbecues, playing pickle ball and golfing, and he’s looking for a high energy woman to share in his favorite things. Gerry has two daughters and two granddaughters, who have all given him their blessing to find love again. Gerry married his high school sweetheart Toni, and after 43 years of marriage, she passed away six years ago after a sudden illness.

Taylor Swift keeps putting out and breaking records! The re-release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” Taylor debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, which gives her four albums in the Top 10. “Midnights” sits at No. 5, with “Lover” at No. 7 and “Folklore” at No. 10. That makes Taylor the first woman in history to have four albums in the Top 10 at the same time!

At 9:22pm, I got a personal email from Jennifer Lopez…..and so did everyone else that subscribes to her On the JLo newsletter. But we were the first to read the lyrics to “Midnight Trip to Vegas” — her new song about how she and Ben Affleck decided to run off to the Little White Chapel in Vegas and get married last summer! The traditional one year wedding anniversary gift is paper, so maybe Jennifer printed these lyrics out and handed them to Ben on Sunday, which was the one-year anniversary. In the lyrics, Jennifer describes being overwhelmed with wedding planning and worried about paparazzi in helicopters, and “Then you whispered in my ear / Said let’s get out of here / We can disappear tonight / What about a Midnight trip to Vegas / Just me and you baby / Throw the kids in the back / Of the pink Cadillac / And us in the bathroom changing / Midnight trip to Vegas / Both our hearts are racin’ / I’ll pick you up late / We don’t have to wait / Yeah let’s do something crazy / Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo / Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo.” Yes, she even typed out the “woohoos.” Jennifer also included a little snippet of herself singing along to her song.

Rumors of two impending celebrity divorces turned out to be true. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello released a joint statement that their 7-year marriage is over.” Sources told the “Daily Mail” the couple had grown apart after the “true versions of themselves started showing.” One source who is obviously Team Joe said, “Joe is a big kid, he loves playing Dungeons & Dragons, he loves wrestling, he is all about video games, superhero movies, comic books, going to concerts, huge NFL fan. He chases fun.” The source said that while Sofia loves having a good time, “she is more concerned with the finer things in life, the trips, lavish dinners, being a celebrity, and everything that comes with all of that….She has been told her entire life she is super-hot and beautiful. It really has got to her head. She also has a temper and gets upset over stupid things very easily whereas Joe tries to let things bounce off of him and go with the flow. That was not really seen while they were falling in love, but then the true versions of themselves started showing and they just got annoyed with each other, choosing work over hanging out.” And then we found out the reason Ariana Grande isn’t wearing her wedding ring is because she and Dalton Gomez are, in fact, getting a divorce after two years of marriage. She flew to England to begin filming “Wicked” in December and in January, Dalton reportedly flew over in a last ditch effort to save their marriage. They both reportedly realized it wasn’t going to work and they made the mutual decision to separate. A source says Ariana is surprised it actually took this long for all of us to notice.

Miranda Lambert was performing at Planet Hollywood in Vegas this weekend and had just started singing an acoustic performance of “Tin Man” when she stopped down the show. Miranda had been watching a group of women posing for selfies and she was OVER it. She said, “I’m sorry. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit.” The crowd started cheering — or jeering? It may be a mix. Miranda continued, “I don’t like it—at all. We’re here to hear some country music, and I’m singing some country damn music.” Some are calling out Miranda, saying she needs to get off her high horse because her fans paid for those tickets and they should be able to take selfies as much as they want. Others have Miranda’s back because like her, they’re tired of social media influencers posing non-stop, which is very distracting for the artist AND the audience around them. The ring-leader of the selfie circle is Adela Calin, who told NBC News that Miranda made the women feels like they were being scolded by a school teacher. She said, “I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.” Adela said they were just so excited because they had the best seats in the whole theater and she insists the selfie took “30 seconds at most.” But after Miranda’s scolding, two of the women were so embarrassed that they left.
