Nick Cannon is taking a break from being angry at tabloids for calling him crazy to welcome his new baby to the world. His ex-fling Brittany Bell gave birth to Nick’s son on Tuesday. They’ve named him Golden Sagon Cannon. Nick posted a photo of him holding his newborn baby, captioning it,“No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness Welcome to Earth Son!”
Rihanna has been named Harvard University’s 2017 Humanitarian of the Year. Are you surprised? You won’t be when you hear about all the good deeds she’s done! Rihanna built a center for oncology and nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat breast cancer at a hospital in Barbados. She created a scholarship program for students in Caribbean countries who want to go to college in the US. She supports and promotes projects to educate children in 60 developing countries, especially girls. She will be honored for these and other charitable endeavors at Harvard on Tuesday.
NBC is shooting a pilot for a spinoff from their series “Fresh Off the Boat.” This show would focus on Kourtney Kang’s life growing up as the only girl in a mixed-race family in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Her goal in life? To become a Laker Girl just like her idol, Paula Abdul. And starring as Paula Abdul in the pilot? Paula Abdul. And should the show get picked up, Paula Abdul will continue to play Paula Abdul, which would make this Paula Abdul’s first regular TV acting gig.
Sinead O’Connor has apologized to Arsenio Hall for claiming he gave drugs to Prince. And because he got the public apology he asked for, Arsenio is dropping his $5 million lawsuit against her. A few weeks after Prince died last year, Sinead went on a Facebook tirade, posting, “Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades… Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s b*tch).” She even warned Arsenio that she’d reported him to the sheriff and he should expect their call. Of course, Arsenio denied all of this, claiming he hadn’t even seen Sinead in more than two decades. But now Sinead has taken it all back. She’s said she’s sorry. And Arsenio says he will follow through on his promise and drop the lawsuit.
After Karrueche Tran told a judge that Chris Brown threatened to kill her if she would go back to him, she got a temporary restraining order against him. That’s when Chris’ fans went on the attack, trolling Karrueche and calling her a liar. But Chris’ neighbor — a singer named Kay Cola — has come forward in Karrueche’s defense. She tweeted that she’d never said anything before because it wasn’t her place to speak on Karrueche’s issues, but now that Karrueche is speaking out, she “can’t sit by and watch people say she’s lying.” In a series of tweets, Kay said she had called the police out to Chris’ house several times, but they never did anything. She tweeted, “I used to cry over that situation hearing her screaming at the top of her lungs…Some of y’all are so delusional defending this man! It’s sick! He will need get help or change because of yes man and weirdos like y’all…If you’re really a Chris Brown fan u would want hi to get help, not make excuses for everything he does. That’s real love.”
