Nelly Arrested After Allegations Of Sexual Assault

Weekend box office news… New coaches on “The Voice”… Harvey Weinstein has been fired… Ralphie May passed away… and Nelly arrested after allegations of sexual assault

The critics loved it, and the people who’ve seen it have given it an A-. But despite winning the box office, “Blade Runner 2049” is being called a bomb. After a reported budget of $150 million, the movie earned just $31.5 million its opening weekend. “The Mountain Between Us” didn’t do as well as expected, either, earning just $10.1 million for second place. Coming in third was “It” with another $9.7 million. Fourth place went to “My Little Pony: The Movie” with $8.8 million. And in fifth place, it was “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” with $8.1 million.

Miley Cyrus has already confirmed she won’t be back next season and now it looks like Jennifer Hudson may be on the way out, too. She’s getting mixed reviews as a coach and the ratings are down….not a good combination. But sources say Jennifer may be headed back to the UK to serve as a coach on the British version of “The Voice,” alongside will.i.am, Tom Jones and Olly Murs. She served as a judge on that show last year and her contestant won.

Harvey Weinstein has been fired by his own movie company! The board of directed voted to get rid of him when an independent investigation revealed decades of alleged sexual harassment by the producer. The Weinstein Company released a statement yesterday, saying, “In light of new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days, the directors of The Weinstein Company….have determined, and have informed Harvey Weinstein that his employment with The Weinstein Company is terminated, effective immediately.” Now that Harvey’s out, his younger brother Robert will head the company.

Those who saw him the night before he was found dead say it was clear that Ralphie May wasn’t doing well. Despite battling pneumonia for the past six weeks, Ralphie performed what was to be his last gig at Harrah’s in Vegas on Thursday night. He was found dead of cardiac arrest the next morning. Ralphie was 45. He leaves behind two daughters.

Nelly is denying a woman’s claims that he sexually assaulted her on his tour bus Saturday night. He tweeted that he is “beyond shocked” that he’s being accused of this and that he is “completely innocent.” Nelly added, “I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation.” A woman claims that she went to an after-party where she got a little tipsy, and that she was later taken to Nelly’s tour bus. She said that she said no, but he forced himself on her anyway. She claims Nelly offered her money afterward, which she refused to take. But then she claims another woman came up and told her she had to go. And as she was kicked off the tour bus, someone threw a hundred bucks at her.
