“Dating Naked” getting sued… Lindsay Lohan London stage debut… Miley Cyrus has been banned… Celeb’s problems with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge… and Nick Cannon addresses the rocky marriage rumors
Have you checked out the new VH1 show, “Dating Naked” yet? The title explains exactly what it is — people go on dates completely naked with all their privates blurred out. Except for this one time when viewers saw ALL of contestant Jessie’s business. And I mean ALL of it. Jessie says producers repeatedly promised her everything would be blurred out, but when the show aired and as viewers watched her and her date wrestling on the beach, we learned that Jessie likes to get a full Brazilian. She says she immediately started getting texts and it was all over the internet. She says not only is she humiliated, but the incident cost her a “budding relationship” with a man she’d been seeing for only a month. And she says he was EVERYTHING — “employed, Jewish and in his 30s, and that’s pretty much ideal.” Jessie’s suing VH1 for $10 million.
Lindsay Lohan has been partying in NYC ahead of her London stage debut in Speed-the-Plow next month. But when she gets back to jolly old England, she won’t be checking into some hotel. Lindsay reportedly is shacking up some older investment banker named Patrick Mohony AND she’s playing step-mom to his two young daughters! Perhaps she should ask her new boyfriend to loan her his credit card so she won’t get denied up in the club again….
Miley Cyrus has been banned from performing in the Dominican Republic because of her immorality. The government commission that oversees public performances says Miley often “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.” Tickets to the concert have been on sale since July. No comment from Miley’s rep and the concert organizers in the Dominican Republic haven’t said anything yet, either.
Why would anybody have a problem with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Apparently, more than a few people aren’t happy with this particular campaign. Pamela Anderson posted a Facebook message yesterday explaining she’s not accepting the challenge, instead, she’s challenging ALS to stop animal testing. And Zachary Quinto says he’s not doing it, either, because of the “staggering drought” in California and also the “desperate need for clean drinking water in developing countries.” And while Pink’s hubby Carey Hart praised ALS for its creative campaign to raise money, he condemned the social factor, saying the challenge has evolved into a “pass along joke” to many people and not about the charity. As of yesterday, ALS had received $41.8 million in donations from the campaign.
Nick Cannon decided it was time to address the rumors that his marriage to Mariah Carey is on the rocks. He told The Insider yesterday, “There is trouble in paradise. We’ve been living in separate houses for a few months.” Right after that interview, Nick was hit with a gag order. According to TMZ, Nick and Mariah’s lawyers worked a confidentiality agreement into the divorce proceedings, which greatly favors Mariah.
