If you haven’t seen “Purple Hearts”on Netflix yet, what are you waiting for? Right out of the gate, the movie — starring Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine — debuted at No. 2 on Netflix’s Top 10. The following week, it hit No. 1. And now after 4 weeks of streaming, “Purple Hearts” is currently the 4th most popular movie streaming on Netflix. Based on total hours viewed, “Purple Hearts” has reached a huge milestone. Not only has it broken into Netflix’s most popular films of all time, it has leap-frogged over several more to take the No. 7 spot! As of right now, the most popular movies on Netflix are:

  1. “Red Notice”
  2. “Don’t Look Up”
  3. “Bird Box”
  4. “The Gray Man”
  5. “The Adam Project”
  6. “Extraction”
  7. “Purple Hearts”
  8. “The Unforgivable”
  9. “The Irishman”
  10. “The Kissing Booth 2”

If you’ve ever watched “Wheel of Fortune” and screamed at your screen, “Y’all are so stupid!! I could do better than that!!” Well, now is your chance. “Wheel of Fortune LIVE!” is coming to a city near you, making more than 60 stops across the country this fall. Clay Aiken and Mark L. Wahlberg — not THAT Mark Wahlberg — will trade off hosting duties. During each stop, audience members have a chance to audition to go on stage and play the game. They’re giving away real prizes, too, like $10K and trips to Paris. Audience members may also be selected randomly to win cash and prizes. For tickets and more info, go to WheelOfFortuneLive.com.

Vanessa Bryant broke down in tears after a verdict was reached in her case against LA County. Vanessa’s husband Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna were among 9 people killed in a helicopter crash back in January 2020. Vanessa and Chris Chester, whose wife and daughter were also killed in the crash, both sued LA County after emergency personnel allegedly took gruesome photos from the crash site and shared them with friends and random strangers at a bar. They were suing for $40M, but instead, they were awarded $31M. $16M will go to Vanessa and $15M will go to Chris. And coincidentally, the verdict came down on 8/24 — a day that honors Kobe because those are his two jersey numbers. It also came down the day after what would’ve been Kobe’s 44th birthday.

Five days ago, somebody working for Elton John went on his Instagram and posted childhood photos of Elton and Britney, captioning it, “August 26 #HoldMeCloser.” Finally!! We’re getting their remake of Elton’s 1972 classic “Tiny Dancer,” which was ranked as No. 47 when Rolling Stone put out their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. Where will “Tiny Dancer” fall on that list? Unclear. But Elton is still doing his part to get us hyped up about the release of his new single with Britney. He was back on Instagram again yesterday, posting a video of a little rocket blasting off with flowers falling out of it and giving us a little taste of what’s coming tomorrow. Over on Britney’s Instagram……….well, she’s deleted it again. We don’t know why. But Britney did tweet about her excitement for the Elton collab. In a series of tweets, Britney posted, “Okie dokie … my first song in 6 years !!!! It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial!!!! I’m kinda overwhelmed… it’s a big deal to me !!! I’m meditating more and learning my space is valuable and precious !!! I’m learning everyday is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy … yes I choose happiness today. I tell myself every day to let go of the hurt bitterness and try to forgive myself and others to what may have been hurtful. I want to be fearless like when I was younger and not be so scared and fearful. I pray there actually is truth to the Holy Spirit and I hope that spirit is with my children as well !!! Yes … I choose happiness and joy today!!!”

While waiting on the arrival of Baby No. 9 with Abby De La Rosa, Nick Cannon posted a video from a maternity shoot with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell. Yes, Nick is expecting Baby No. 10 with Brittany, who already shares two kids with Nick — 5-year-old son Golden (No. 3) and 1-year-old daughter Powerful (No. 4). Nick’s other children, in birth order, are twin sons Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (No. 5 and No. 6), whom he shares with Abby. Nine days after the twins were born, Nick welcomed his son Zen (No. 7) with Alyssa Scott. Zen tragically passed away at 5 months with brain cancer. Along came Legendary Love (No. 8) with Bre Tiesi this past January, and very soon, Nick will welcome No. 9 and No. 10.
