Tarek and Christina El Moussa update…Peta and Maksim are returning to DWTS… Demi Moore is joining the cast of Empire… Karrueche Tran gets a restraining order… and Nick Cannon threatens to sue National Enquirer
Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa are going through a divorce. Shortly after we found out they were breaking up, we found out she was dating their contractor, Gary Anderson. Details on the timeline of their hooking up are a little fuzzy, but we do know that as of now, Christina is completely single. She has dumped her rebound and now, according to her rep, “being in a relationship is the last thing on her mind.”
Engaged couple Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have announced that they are returning to Dancing With the Stars next season. Peta sat out last season because she was pregnant with their son, Shai. But now that the baby is here, she’s ready to get back out on the dance floor! Well, sorta….Peta told Good Morning America” that she’s a little bit nervous to get back out there. She says it’s going to take her a little bit longer to get back up to the fitness level she was before her pregnancy.
Demi Moore is joining the cast of Empire in a recurring role. When Empire returns on March 22, Demi’s daughter Rumer Willis will make her debut on the show. Demi will pop up on the season three finale and then come back in season four. Demi is playing the role of a “take-charge nurse with a mysterious past” who becomes “treacherously entangled” with the Lyons family. Rumer is playing a singer-songwriter named Tory Ash who becomes a key player in Jamal’s new music project. Demi started out on General Hospital in the 80s, but she hasn’t been on TV since a 2003 episode of Will & Grace.
A judge has granted Karrueche Tran a temporary restraining order against Chris Brown after she accused him of physically abusing and threatening her. Chris now has to stay at least 100 yards away from Karrueche and he cannot contact her in any way. He also has until March 9 to surrender any firearms in his possession. That’s the date of another hearing on the restraining order. Karreuche claims that Chris has threatened her repeatedly since December. In her court filing, she also accusing him of punching her in the stomach and pushing her down the stairs a few years ago. But most recently, Karrueche claims Chris has threatened to kill, telling other people that he is prepared to “take her out” if she doesn’t take him back.
Nick Cannon says he will sue the National Enquirer for slander and defamation if they publish an article claiming he’s suffered a nervous breakdown and that Mariah Carey is so concerned that she’s going to file for sole custody of their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. In an Instagram post, Nick says, “Only Evil operates in this manner. What is the purpose? Except to exemplify pure immoral wickedness. If you report these lies expect a slander and defamation lawsuit.” He continues, “Look everyone, see how the media is trying to break a King? It’s all good though, I’m a warrior! I was built for this! Me and my family, my mindset, and my spirit are all stronger than ever. I felt like releasing this so called “journalist” info to the public so you all can get at them, but instead I release nothing but positive energy into the Universe.
