‘Manifest’ season 4… Neve Campbell is not returning… Lilibet on first birthday… Johnny Depp broke the bank… and Nick Jonas suffered a softball injury

In streaming news, NBC canceled “Manifest” after three seasons, leaving die-hard fans in the lurch. But Netflix began streaming the three season last summer and it brought in all these new fans who joined the original fans in demanding closure! And now, we’re getting it. The fourth and final season of “Manifest” will stream on Netflix this fall. It’s being divided into two 10-episode parts. And it looks like it will be three and done for “Ted Lasso,” which is currently filming in London. When Jason Sudeikis and fellow show-creator Brendan Hunt appeared on the “Today” show back in 2021, they said they originally imagined the show going only three seasons. And in a new interview, another one of the show’s creators Brett Goldstein has confirmed the third season is the last. He told the “Sunday Times,” “We are writing it like that. It was planned as three. Spoiler alert — everyone dies.”

“Scream 6” is set to hit theaters in March, but Neve Campbell says she won’t be in it. How can this be?? Sidney Prescott is the main character in the franchise! It’s not like they can stick another actress in there to play her. Neve said, quite honestly, that they didn’t offer her enough money. She didn’t say how much she was offered, but released a statement saying, “As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to ‘Scream’. I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.” Shooting isn’t scheduled to start till later this summer, so there is a chance they can reach an agreement between now and then.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took their kids to London for the Platinum Jubilee celebration. They left before the grand finale on Sunday. However, this did mark the first time that Queen Elizabeth got to meet her namesake great-grandchild, Lilibet. That was Prince Philip’s nickname for her. Harry and Meghan threw Lilibet’s first birthday party at Frogmore Cottage on Saturday and they released the first public photo of their daughter since she was an itty-bitt baby. She’s a ginger like her daddy! And she’s juicy and delicious! Only close friends and family were invited, but it looks like Prince William and Catherine were not there. Sources say the Queen was there, but didn’t allow any photographs to be taken. That sounds like a flat-out lie to me.

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on dinner at a restaurant? After winning his defamation case against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp reportedly dropped over $62K for a celebratory dinner in Birmingham, England. He took his good buddy Jeff Beck and about 20 others to an upscale Indian restaurant called Varanasi, which shut down the place so Johnny and his friends could enjoy some privacy. And yesterday, Johnny decided to join TikTok, which rallied around him during the trial. In his bio, Johnny put “Occasional Thespian.” So far, he doesn’t follow anyone and he hasn’t posted anything, but in less than 24 hours, he’s already gained over 3M followers.

Softball ain’t for sissies! During a softball game on Sunday, Nick Jonas got hit in the groin with a softball and collapsed on the field. Big brother Kevin drove him to the hospital, where Nick was seen limping and could barely lift his leg. Unfortunately, they went to the wrong entrance so Nick had to limp slowly to another area. The Jonas Brothers had just kicked off their five-night residency in Vegas. A lot of people noticed that they changed one of the lyrics to their 2009 song “Much Better,” which is believed to be about Joe’s relationship with Taylor Swift. The original line goest, “I got a rep for breaking hearts / Now I’m done with superstars / And all the tears on her guitar / I’m not bitter.” In Vegas, Joe sang, “Now I’m cool with superstars.”
