Joy Behar stood up for Woody Allen… Azelia Banks’ attack on Lizzo… Taylor Swift pays medical bills… Demi Lovato’s unedited post… and Nicki Minaj announces retirement

Scarlett Johansson stood up for her good friend Woody Allen, telling The Hollywood Reporter that she has had several conversations with him about his adopted daughter Dylan’s accusation that he molested her when she was only 7. Woody said he didn’t do it and Scarlett said she believes him. The LA Times tweeted, “And now a moment of silence for Scarlett Johansson’s publicist.” And then Dylan Farrow — who hasn’t tweeted in almost a year — chimed in, “Because if we’ve learned anything from the past two years it’s that you definitely should believe male predators who ‘maintain their innocence’ without question. Scarlett has a long way to go in understanding the issue she claims to champion.” And then “The View” talked about Scarlett’s comments during their Hot Topics segment, and Joy Behar stood up for Woody. Dylan tweeted, “@TheView surprising that in discussing my case this morning no one mentioned that the prosecutor in my case, after evaluating ALL the evidence, found probable cause to press criminal charges against Woody. He chose not to only in order to spare me further trauma. @JoyVBehar saying that the experts have exonerated Woody Allen is utterly false and a truly abhorrent mischaracterization. Thank you to @sunny (Hostin) for pushing back on the false narrative Woody Allen has tried so hard to perpetuate.” And then someone supported Dylan with this tweet, “Experts also exonerated Larry Nassar after an ‘investigation’ in which he explained, w powerpoint, that molestation was a legitimate treatment for gymnastic sprains in children.”

Billboard Charts tweeted that six female rappers have now reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. Those women would be Lauryn Hill with “Doo Wop (That Thing),” Lil Kim who was part of “Lady Marmalade,” Shawnna, who was featured on Ludacris’ song “Stand Up,” Iggy Azalea with “Fancy,” Cardi B with “Bodak Yellow,” and now Lizzo, who made it to number one with “Truth Hurts.” Azealia Banks saw that tweet and it hit her all sorts of wrong ways. She went on an Instagram Story rant, calling out Lizzo for “making a fool of herself for a white American public.” She said, “The song is not good, nor is the dumpy fat girl spectacle live set she does. Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.” Azealia slammed Adele, saying “Fat Adele gets to be fat, white, do a bootleg Mahalia Jackson impression and take over but Lizzo gotta jump around and act stupid to get half the attention while she has more talent than white Adele.” Then she praised Queen Latifah and Missy Elliot for being “able to represent for larger women without being disgusting or being a minstrel.” She also criticized Cardi B for being illiterate, and we know how much Cardi hates that so we’ll have to see if she has a comment for Azealia.

Taylor Swift has donated $10K to one of her fans to help pay with her medical bills. Sixteen-year-old Trinity Foster is battling stage 4 osteosarcoma, which has spread to one of her lungs, and she now has a feeding tube. But she’s fighting hard to beat cancer! Trinity set up a GoFundMe page, saying, “The chemo is really hard for me and my insurance doesn’t cover everything that I need, we have tried to get other insurances like ten care but were told we did not apply.” Trinity also happens to be a huge Taylor Swift fan and posted photos of her own Taylor Swift album release party from her hospital room. Well, Taylor saw those photos, and sent Trinity $10K to help with her medical bills along with a note that said, “I hope I can give you a hug in person soon, but in the meantime I wanted to send you this and all my love. Your friend, Taylor.” And then Jonas Brothers fan Lily Jordan posted on her social media, “@jonasbrothers I was supposed to be at your Hersey concert tomorrow but instead I’m across the street doing chemo. If y’all wanted to pop in I’ll give you my room.” And they did! Kevin, Joe, Nick AND Priyanka stopped by Lily’s room for a visit! Nick asked if she had a favorite song they could dedicate to her at the show and she picked “S.O.S.”

Demi Lovato says she is DONE with being ashamed of her body. She posted an unedited bikini photo, where she’s looking over her shoulder and showing off her hindquarters. She captioned it, “This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!!” Demi admitted that she’s guilty of editing previous bikini photos but not any more. She said,”This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day.” But she also added, “Just so everyone’s clear.. I’m not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that’s the best I can do. I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too. #nationalcelulliteday #celluLIT (3 fire emojis)” And Demi definitely did inspire a lot of people. Her photo is approaching 7 million likes — including one from my husband — and she’s gotten tons of comments. Among the blue check marks was Bebe Rexha, who’s become the poster child for body positivity, Ashley Graham, who has made a fabulous living off her plus-size figure, and Mike Johnson! Yes, the man who SHOULD be the next Bachelor posted in the comments, “Look at me like that again (wink emoji) love yaself (praising hands emoji)”

Nicki Minaj dropped a bombshell on her fans yesterday, saying she’s retiring from music in order to have a family. TMZ says that was quite a shock to people working with Nicki, too. Their sources say Nicki’s been in the studio working on new music and she’s made plans to record with several artists. She even has studio time booked until next month. TMZ’s sources say Nicki is simply fed up with internet trolls who’ve been harassing her about her fiancé Kenneth Petty — who goes by Zoo. So basically, Nicki is having a little temper tantrum and they believe after she takes a moment to chill out, she’ll quickly announce that she has come out of retirement.
