Box office weekend news… Game Of Thrones auction… Diddy update… Jen Affleck addressed divorce rumors… and North West calls out mom Kim Kardashian in interview

For one brief moment in time, Joker: Folie à Deux was number one at the box office. Typically, a movie’s box office gross drops by about 40% in its second weekend, but Joker 2 said, “Hold my beer.” It fell a jaw-dropping 82% in its second weekend, taking in just over $7M for a third place finish. Coming in first instead was Terrifier 3, about a deadly clown named Art who uses an axe to literally kill the Christmas spirit in a small town. This was super low-budget, costing a reported $2M to make. In a shocking twist, critics are actually digging it. It sits at 76% on the Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer and the audience ranks it as 89% on its Pocornmeter. So with all that positivity, Terrifier 3 was No. 1 with $18.3M. Coming in second in its second weekend was The Wild Robot with $13.45M. It’s already gotten the green light for a sequel. We already talked about Joker: Folie à Deux in third. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice sits at No. 4 with $7.05M, and Pharrell Williams’ Lego biopic Piece by Piece debuted in fifth with $3.8M.

*Here’s something to note about box office totals: They can be a bit misleading. For instance, Piece by Piece was shown in less than 2K theaters, compared to Joker 2, which was in more than 4K.

A dragon-forged chair molded from a throne that was featured in Game of Thrones sold at auction for $1.49M. This was listed as an “original touring Iron Throne molded from the original screen-used throne.” So it wasn’t even the original chair!! But Heritage Auctions of Dallas said there was a “nearly 6-minute-long back-and-forth between bidders” for it. Over 4500 bidders from around the world fought for over 900 items from Game of Thrones, raking in over $21.1M. Everything sold, including the outfit Jon Snow wore for his his “Beyond the Wall” trip in Season 7. That went for $137,500. The “hero” version of the Valyrian steel bastard sword Longclaw that was gifted to Jon Snow and used throughout the series sold for $400K. And Daenerys Targaryen’s white-and-gray arctic rabbit fur coat adorned with the triple-dragon head brooch/cape clasp sold for $156,250.

By the time the completely sold-out event ended late Saturday night, it realized $21,115,718 thanks to more than 4,500 bidders worldwide.

A federal appeals court judge has denied Diddy’s immediate release from jail while a 3-judge panel mulls it over. This is Diddy’s third attempt at bail, hoping he can go home to Miami and live under house arrest until his trial begins on May 5 in NYC. He’s been held at a federal jail in Brooklyn since Sept 16.

On Saturday, Mikayla Matthews posted a video she filmed with Mayci Neeley and Jennifer Affleck, whose husband Zac we now know is NOT Ben Affleck’s cousin. In it, Jennifer lip syncs, “I don’t even know where we left off,” to which Mayci and Mikayla respond, “You were still in a relationship.” Jennifer then lip-synched, “I was? Damn. Things change really quickly.” Commenters assumed this meant Jennifer and Zac are headed for divorce.

Kim Kardashian and her 11-year-old daughter North sat down for a chat with Interview magazine. In it, we learned that Kim hasn’t cooked for the kids in “two Halloweens,” but when she did, it was awesome — fried chicken, cornbread and mac and cheese. Kim said, “I’m a one-trick pony.” But North said her mom is also really good at making cucumbers and salt, which might be what she would choose if she could only eat one thing for the rest of her life. That, or grilled onions. North is also passionate about her love for God. Kim asked North, “What’s one lesson you’ll never forget?” North replied, “To trust God only.” When Kim asked, “What do you do to help other people?” she answered, “Spread the gospel. Tell them about God, and how problems get solved if they follow His word and His way.” When Kim asked North to share the best day of her life, she said it was when her dad took all the kids to Italy. She said, “It was just us and my siblings, and that’s when I really brought them close to God, because we had this house and there were these devil statues, and I was like, ‘Mm-mm, mm-mm, no, girl.’ I was like, ‘We got to pray.’ So then I taught Chi and Psalm and Saint how to pray. God really did His thing after.”
