R. Kelly Faces New Allegations

Mel B throws drink at Simon Cowell… Jon and Kate Gosselin’s custody disagreement… Highest paid actors… Jay Z and Beyonce bought a house… and R. Kelly faces new allegations

America’s Got Talent was plagued with technical difficulties last night. But one thing you can always count on is Simon Cowell saying something to tick Mel B off, causing her to throw whatever’s in her product placement Dunkin’ Donuts cup on Simon’s shirt. And that’s exactly what happened during the live show last night, when Simon made a dig about a death-defying stunt gone wrong and how he imagined it was like Mel B’s wedding night — “a lot of anticipation…not much promise or delivery.” Granted, Simon is ALWAYS taking shots at Mel. But considering Mel is going through a nasty divorce, this was probably a poor time for him to make any joke relating to her marriage. So the drink is tossed and Mel storms off. Backstage, she said she called him an a**h*** and he said “Whatever” and they were over it. She only wishes she’d had cranberry juice in her cup so he would’ve gotten sticky.

Jon and Kate Gosselin have been divorced for almost a decade. While Kate got full legal custody of their eight children, they both share physical custody. But things don’t always go so smoothly when it comes to the kids. In fact, police had to be called out to the orthodontist’s office yesterday. Apparently, one of them took one of their 13-year-old daughters to the appointment but both of them came to pick her up. Each one of them thought it was their day to have custody, and but the fight over who would take their daughter home got so ugly that somebody called the cops! Reportedly, the daughter told the officers she wanted to go home with her daddy and no arrests were made.

Forbes Magazine is out with their list of the highest paid actors and actresses for 2017. They base this on estimated earnings (because they really don’t know for sure), before taxes and management fees from all their movies, TV and commercial endorsements. Coming in the top spot for men is Mark Wahlberg, who earned what they estimated to be $68 million this year. Coming in second is Dwayne Johnson with $65 million. Third on the list Vin Diesel with $54.5 million. When it comes to the actresses, Emma Stone is the top earner with an estimated $26 million. But here’s the thing — if you take sex out of it, she’s the 15th highest paid actor in Hollywood. There are 14 men who earned more than she did this year.

Jay Z and Beyonce have FINALLY bought a house. They’ve settled on an $88 million mansion in Bel-Air. It’s 30,000 square feet and comes with a spa, a media room, four swimming pools, and a basketball court. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Carters paid for their home through blind trusts and they’re carrying a mortgage that comes in just under $53 million. That means their monthly payments will be $252,075 over the next 30 years, at an interest rate of 4 percent.

She says she realizes she could be sued, but she can’t keep her secret any longer. A woman has come forward claiming that she had a relationship with R. Kelly when she was underage, and that he was physically abusive with her. Jerhonda Pace is now 24. She claims she first met R. Kelly when she was 15, but they didn’t hook up until she was 16, which still made her a below the age of consent in the state of Illinois, which is where this allegedly took place. She says their relationship continued for 7 months and that during their time together, R. Kelly told her to tell people she was 19 and to act like she was 25. To keep her from talking, Jerhonda claims R. Kelly had her sign a paper admitting to stealing jewelry from him — which she says she didn’t do — and that her parents were trying to blackmail him — which she says they weren’t. She also had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and admitted to accepting a cash settlement. But she’s speaking out now anyway, hoping it will help other girls who are now in that same situation.
