Remembering Prince On His One-Year Death Anniversary

“The X-Files” is coming back… Ronda Rousey is engaged… Carmelo and LaLa Anthony’s prenup… A twist in Mel B’s divorce… and Remembering Prince on his one-year death anniversary

Can you compare the Rasberry/Kraddick chemistry to the Mulder/Scully chemistry? Probably not. But if you were a big fan of “The X-Files,” then you’ll be excited to hear that Fox is bringing the show back for 10 episodes. Filming will begin this summer and they’re hoping it will be on the air by January.

Ronda Rousey is engaged to Travis Browne. He proposed under a waterfall while they were on vacation in New Zealand last week. They haven’t set a date but Ronda says she wants to be married sooner rather than later. After Ronda’s embarrassing loss to Amanda Nunes in December — she was knocked out in 48 seconds — UFC president Dana White said he doubted she’d ever fight again. He said he’d even had a conversation with her about “life outside fighting.”

Carmelo and LaLa Anthony are getting a divorce and there was a rumor that it’s because he got a stripper pregnant. There’s been a little miscommunication on some of those facts. First, Carmelo probably did get another woman pregnant, but she’s not a stripper. She’s a co-ed with a master’s degree from Chicago who met Carmelo in a nightclub last summer and they’ve been seeing each other ever since. Sources say Carmelo does believe the baby is his, so he’s taking care of her until the baby is born and they can do a DNA test. Meantime, TMZ is reporting that before they got married in 2010, Carmelo and LaLa signed a prenup. No word on any of the conditions, but Carmelo is in the middle of a 5-year, $124 million contract.

Another twist in Mel B’s divorce from Stephen Belafonte. TMZ is reporting that the former nanny is filing a lawsuit against Mel, claiming that she told lies about her in her divorce filing. Mel claimed that her husband got nanny Lorraine Gilles pregnant and then used her money to pay for Lorraine’s abortion. Mel also claims that Lorraine is hiding private videos and could release them in retaliation. Lorraine says none of it is true. And she’s got a whole bunch of pictures and other proof showing her and Mel getting along fabulously, which she believes will convince a jury she’s telling the truth.

It was one year ago today that we were all shocked to find out that Prince passed away at his home, Paisley Park. We later found out it was from a prescription drug overdose. Paisley Park was quickly turned into a museum, which will most likely be packed today. And there are four days of events scheduled, with concerts by Prince’s former bandmates, The Revolution, Morris Day and the Time, and New Power Generation. There will also be discussion panels featuring Wendy and Lisa from “The Revolution” and a lot of other people closely connected to Prince. VIP passes WERE $999. I say “were” because those are sold out. For those who couldn’t get in on that deal, there’s a street party planned outside First Avenue, the club Prince made famous in his movie, “Purple Rain.” And Prince’s siblings are hosting an all-night dance party in a Minneapolis suburb featuring Apollonia, Dez Dickerson, Andre Cymone and others.
