Last week, defense attorneys for three men accused of murdering rapper XXXTentacion in 2018 said authorities should’ve investigated Drake. He and X had a public beef and at one point, X posted that if anything ever happened to him, we should look at Drake. The judge was persuaded to order Drake to sit down for a deposition later this month or be held in contempt of court. But Drake’s attorney is using some legal maneuvering to get out of testifying, or at least delay it. For instance, the attorney argues that the Zoom link sent for Drake’s deposition wasn’t under seal, which would compromise his security. Plus, Drake’s name never turned up in any investigative files and there’s nothing to connect him whatsoever to the case. The judge has yet to make a final ruling on Drake’s motion.

Sources say Megan Fox may not be wearing her engagement ring…and she may be refusing to talk to Machine Gun Kelly…but at this point, the engagement is not officially off. A source told People that while the couple has has issues in the past, “things seem pretty serious this time.” All signs point to Megan finding out that MGK cheated on her with his guitarist Sophie Lloyd, but there has been no confirmation of that.

While on tour in Australia, Post Malone wanted to check out the popular rooftop bar at the QT Hotel in Perth. But the club has a strict dress code that prohibits face, neck and offensive tattoos, and security turned Post away at the door. No hard feelings. Post just took his money to another bar, where he bought drinks for everyone. Post did end up sharing the experience with a reporter, causing QT Perth to tell the DailyMail, “At QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. QT has been recognized for this for many years. However, on Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion, and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologize to the individuals affected.”

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Taylor Swift released a limited edition of two heart-shaped vinyls in marbled pink and blue, featuring singles she performed for “Lover: Live From Paris.” It was available exclusively on her website, limit one per customer. But in less than 30 minutes, they were all gone. However, a bunch of people are trying to cash in on their good fortune of obtaining a set by reselling them on eBay. The average ask is around $150, but one very optimistic seller is asking $100K or best offer, plus $4.35 shipping.

It’s not secret that the NFL doesn’t pay its halftime performers. They do cover production costs and travel expenses. For instance, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s 2020 halftime show reportedly set them back $13M. But sometimes, what the NFL offers to pay isn’t enough for the artist. In fact, The Weeknd reportedly spent $7M of his own money to get what he wanted in 2021. While Rihanna didn’t get a paycheck and we haven’t heard yet if she put up any of her own cash, we do know the halftime show paid off for her in other ways. Her music has seen a 640% increase in streaming, with her opening song “B**** Better Have My Money” seeing a whopping 2600% increase! And don’t think that nose pat with her Fenty Beauty compact wasn’t meant to move product. In fact, during her performance, Rihanna launched a new shade for her Fenty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick collection called “The MVP.” Unlike Taylor Swift’s albums, Rihanna made sure she had PLENTY of product in the warehouse, and you can still grab the new blue red shade online.
