In casting news, Idris Elba has just signed on as the voice of Knuckles in the upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.” Knuckles first appeared in 1994’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” as the bad guy but then became friends with Sonic and Tails. And Knuckles was the hero of 1995’s “Sonic & Knuckles.” Idris is joining Ben Schwartz, who’s back as the voice of Sonic. James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore and Jim Carrey are all returning, as well. And Catherine Zeta-Jones is excited about her new gig. She’ll play Morticia Addams in the upcoming Netflix series, “Wednesday.” When the announcement was made, Catherine posted, “I have channeled Morticia Addams many times in my life (crying laughing emoji) and now I get to play her directed by the incomparable Tim Burton in Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’. I am so excited! Reuniting with Luis Guzman (my nemesis in the movie ‘Traffic’) as Gomez, and the fabulous Jenny Ortega in the title role of Wednesday Addams. Can’t wait.”

Rachael Leigh Cook starred in the 1999 romantic comedy “She’s All That.” In the movie, Freddie Prinze Jr. starred as Zack Siler, who turned Rachael’s character Laney Boggs into the prom queen. Rachael is back as Laney in the follow-up “He’s All That,” which hits Netflix on Aug. 27. She’s now playing mom to Addison Rae’s character, Padgett Sawyer. Padgett is a teen queen and social media influencer who tries to work her magic on an outcast named Cameron, who’s played by Tanner Buchanan. A lot of people were NOT happy to hear Netflix was making this movie, and Rachael has seen all the comments. But she told “ET,” “Listen everybody, you should check out this movie because it’s just delightful. But if you aren’t feeling it for whatever reason, don’t miss the dance-off. Fast forward and get to it, it’s good I promise.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck went house-hunting again yesterday. Are they shopping for them or just for her? We don’t know. But we do know they toured two places yesterday. One was an $85M estate in Beverly Hills. It’s 38K square feet and comes with 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an indoor sports complex with a boxing ring and basketball court, a guest penthouse, a caretaker’s house, a 2-bedroom guardhouse and parking for 80. They then took a tour of Bob Hope’s former home — a $40M estate in Toluca Lake. They only stayed about an hour, so it doesn’t look like Bob’s place was the one.

Last week, Forbes said Rihanna had cracked the billion dollar mark, making her the richest woman in music and the second richest woman in the world, behind Oprah. But yesterday, Rihanna woke up a little bit richer thanks to the launch of her first ever Fenty fragrance. Fenty Eau de Perfume sold out in just a few hours. Rihanna celebrated by having caviar in bed for breakfast.

In the “Friends” reunion on HBO Max, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston admitted to having feelings for each other back in the day. David said, “The first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point we were both crushing hard on each other — but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship.” And Jennifer said, “I remember saying at one point to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is on national television!’ Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.” Ever since then, fans of the show have been shipping these two in real life. For whatever reason, rumors about them being in a romantic relationship really blew up this week. “Sources” said David flew from NY to LA to be with Jen and that they were spotted at a winery in Santa Barbara. But enough is enough because their reps are now denying anything is going on between these two.
