Mike Nichols passed away… Raven-Symone speaks out about Bill Cosby… Michael Phelps’ “steamy affair”… Andy Cohen talks about diva Mariah Carey… and Ryan Gosling declines Sexiest Man Alive
He was an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning director. Mike Nichols has passed away at the age of 83. He and Diane Sawyer had been married for 26 years. A private family funeral will be held in just a few days, but a public memorial will take place at a later date.
Last night, it was all over the internet. Raven-Symone came forward to reveal that she, too, had been assaulted by Bill Cosby but had always been too ashamed to come forward until now. It’s all a lie. Raven posted on Instagram, “I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!” That’s one bright spot for Bill Cosby during the past few days. With all of the rape allegations against him, NBC has canceled a comedy show they were developing for him; Netflix has canceled a comedy special that was set to air the day after Thanksgiving; TV Land has pulled all reruns of “The Cosby Show” effective immediately.
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps checked himself into rehab back in September to deal with his alcohol problem. But before he checked himself in, Michael had been enjoying what is described as a “steamy affair” with a woman 12 years older than he is. She’s a lusty, busty blonde named Taylor Lianne Chandler. Except, Taylor told RadarOnline.com that she never revealed a big secret to Michael until after he went to rehab. She sent an email, but she says he hasn’t responded yet. Taylor claims she was born with both male and female parts and her parents chose to raise her as a boy named David Roy Fitch. When he was a teenager, David chose to change her name to Paige Victoria Whitney. And later, she underwent surgery to become a woman and changed her name again to Taylor Lianne Chandler.
In his new book, Andy Cohen backs up what everybody already knows — Mariah Carey is a diva. When she agreed to be a guest on “Watch What Happens Live,” Andy wrote that he was “thrilled Mariah agreed to grace the clubhouse with her glamorous presence,” but then they got her list of demands. Andy wasn’t allowed to bring up any other female singers. Bravo was given specific lighting requirements. And when she finally showed up 2 hours late, Mariah asked Andy to switch seats with her because she needed to show her best side. And wrote, “It was weird doing the show from the left!” But despite the drama, Andy says he enjoyed having her on the show and would love for her to come back.
With (my) uproar over Chris Hemsworth being named as ”People” magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, it’s nothing compared to the furor that was raised when Ryan Gosling was overlooked in 2011 when Bradley Cooper claimed the title. Women were actually picketing the “People” offices in protest! But The Wrap is reporting that “People” actually DID want Ryan to be their cover boy. He said no! In fact, “People” has tried to name him Sexiest Man Alive several times, but Ryan always declines because he’s too serious about his acting to mess with that trivial nonsense. And THAT just makes him even sexier.
