Drake continues to dominate the music charts. Not only is his song “Way 2 Sexy” the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, nine of the Top 10 songs are from Drake’s new album “Certified Lover Boy.” Only The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber kept Drake from having the entire Top 10 to himself. Their song “Stay” came in at No. 6. But Drake has the entire Top 5 all to himself! Only the Beatles did that before him, and that was way back in 1964. But Drake is the first artist to capture nine of the Top 10, and “CLB” is the first album to generate nine Top 10 hits on the Hot 100. And to top it all off, Drake extends his record for Hot 100 Top 10s to 54. Madonna is his closest competition, with 38.
It wasn’t that long ago that Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde were blissfully raising two kids together. Their romance didn’t work out, but their careers are on fire. Jason’s AppleTV+ show “Ted Lasso” has not only been a huge hit with viewers and critics, it just earned a whopping 20 Emmy nominations! So it’s no surprise that the cast all negotiated big salary bumps to come back for Season 3. Supporting cast members are going from $50K-$75K per episode to between $125K-$150K per episode. And Jason was earning between $250K-$300 for Seasons 1 and 2, but for Season 3, he’ll earn a cool $1M per episode. Not only that, his new deal includes create fees and compensation for his role as the show’s head writer and exec producer. Meantime, his ex Olivia Wilde is following Harry Styles on tour. But she also posted the first footage of her directorial debut, “Don’t Worry Darling.” Olivia shared a steamy teaser of Harry making out with his costar Florence Pugh. But we have to wait til Oct. 23 of NEXT YEAR to see the rest.
Is it tougher to be a teenager or the parent of a teenager? Let’s ask Denise Richards, who shares 17-year-old daughter Sami and 16-year-old Lola with Charlie Sheen. Last week, Sami posted an emotional TikTok video, looking very upset. She captioned it, “1 year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc…” Then she posted a happier video of herself, captioning it, “now: finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening, own 2 cats, happy single, full of self love, and dropped out of high school :).” Sami didn’t say which parent had the “hell house,” but a source told Page Six she was talking about living with her mom. The source said, “Denise set normal rules that any parent would be setting….(Sami) didn’t want to follow the rules.” The source added, “Charlie didn’t support implementing Denise’s rules. He has a different way of parenting and Sami decided to live with her dad….Denise loves her daughter very much and she’s saddened by the situation.” Through his publicist, Charlie said, “Sam’s amazing. I love her and all my children unconditionally. We’re having a ball. GED here we come!!!”
Kanye West unfollowed all of Kim Kardashian’s family when they split a few months ago, but they kept following him. There was a report this morning that Kanye had unfollowed Kim but I just looked and he still does. By the time I read this out loud, he may have changed his mind again. Kanye has 8.3M followers but as of right this second, he follows 15 people, including Kim, Solange Knowles, Fashion Nova, a British designer named Hannah Dang, Fonz Bentley – who used to be Diddy’s valet and assistant and now writes music with Kanye, and motivational speaker Justin Laboy. And just like Kanye’s Instagram profile photo, everyone he follows has theirs blacked out.
Over the weekend, Britney Spears announced on Instagram that she and Sam Asghari are engaged after 5 years of dating. Along with all the congratulations came the snarky “Get a prenup” comments. In fact, one of those prenup comments to Britney came from Octavia Spencer. In a savage move, Sam commented on it, “100.” Sam also posted an IG Story, “Thank you to everyone who is concerned about the prenup. Of course, we’re getting an ironclad prenup to protect my Jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day,” along with two crying-laughing emojis. But sources say Britney is, in fact, going to have a prenup, just like she had when she married Kevin Federline. But this time around, her father is NOT involved in preparing it.
