British-made Netflix shows most popular… Michael Jordan sold his Highland Park home… Dave Grohl was ‘jealous’… Charlie Puth is married… and Sean “Diddy” Combs held without bail
Americans are fascinated with British content. Netflix just revealed that their top four most-watched shows from the first half of the year were all made in the UK. Episodes of Fool Me Once, Bridgerton, The Gentleman and Baby Reindeer were watched a combined total of 360M times in the first six months of 2024. The writers and actors strikes put the brakes on generating American shows, which led us to discover all this great British stuff. But across the pond, Netflix only grabs about 10 percent of the UK audience share, with the majority watching the BBC.

It took 12 years, but Michael Jordan has finally sold his home in the northern Chicago suburb of Highland Park. Back in 1991, Michael bought seven acres of property, built a 32+K-square-foot mansion that he was finally able to move into in 1995. The home underwent significant renovations in 2009, but in 2012, he decided to put it on the market. Michael listed the home for 29M, but after 3 years, he reduced the price to $14.855M — which happens to add up to 23, Michael’s jersey number, and is also featured prominently on the front gate leading to the estate. Twelve years later, Michael finally has a contract on the property, even though the final price hasn’t been made public. The home features nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms — 15 of which are full-sized — five fireplaces, a massive den, an office space, a library, a cigar room, and a futuristic kitchen. It also features a regulation-sized basketball gym, a circular infinity pool, a putting green, a tennis court, and a 14 car garage.

Charlie Puth is a married man! He and Brooke Sansone started dating in June 2022. Apparently, their dads were childhood friends and they’d always been in each other’s orbit. A little over a year later — on Sept. 5 of last year, to be exact — Charlie flew from LA to NYC to propose to Brooke at 11:11pm, their favorite time. Brooke told Vogue, “It was just the two of us, sharing Chinese food on the couch in a beautifully intimate moment.” And then one year later, on Sept. 7 of this year, Charlie and Brooke were married at his family’s home in Montecito. The couple is now honeymooning in Italy, but Charlie took a moment to post photos from their wedding, captioning them, “I love you Brooke…I always have, with you I am my very best. I Promise I’ll love you everyday in this life, and even more when we move on to our next. Brooke Ashley Sansone, And now you’ll be Brooke Ashley Puth. Thank you for making me the happiest man alive. It has always been you.”
Diddy will not be seeing the light of day anytime soon. A federal judge has ordered him held without bail pending trial in his ongoing sex-trafficking case. Diddy offered to pay a $50M bond, using his $48M mansion in Miami and his mama’s home as collateral. He also offered to wear a GPS monitor and limit his travel to Miami and New York. But prosecutors told the judge they believed Diddy was a flight risk, and they were worried he’d try to intimidate witnesses if he was free on bail. The judge agreed. So Diddy was hauled off to Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which isn’t exactly luxury accommodations. Diddy’s lawyer is appealing the decision to deny bail. Meantime, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. If he’s found guilty, he faces a maximum of life in prison.
