Tom Brady must have a thing for Vegas. Earlier this year, he acquired an ownership stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces and now he wants a piece of the Las Vegas Raiders. According to Fox Sports, Tom has reportedly reached an agreement with team owner Mark Davis to become a minority owner. Now the NFL just has to approve, but why wouldn’t they? Mark is putting that positive energy into the universe, releasing a statement saying, “We have come to an agreement for Tom Brady to become a partner in the Raiders, and we have submitted it to the NFL for approval. We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders.” We don’t know how much this will cost Tom, but he reportedly will only have a “passive” involvement with the Raiders, and not be involved in the day-to-day operations.

They’ve been threatening this for the past couple years but now Netflix is following through. They are cracking down on password sharing, punishing offenders with an extra $7.99/month. They’re hoping this will force people who’ve been “borrowing” – aka “stealing” — logins to sign up for their own accounts. According to Netflix, up to 100M households — or 43% of Netflix users globally — share accounts. It’s costing the company millions upon millions in lost revenue. A blog on Netflix’s website explains, “A Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are — at home, on the go, on holiday — and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.” So as of now, subscribers who wish to share their Netflix account with someone outside of their household have to pay an extra $7.99/month or they have to transfer any profiles outside of the home to a new account.

Texas takes the lead in cracking down on ticket scammers. Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 1639 which prohibits the use of bots to buy live event tickets online. This makes it illegal for people to use technology that bypasses security measures in online ticketing systems, including disguising the identity of the buyer or allowing someone to buy more tickets than a website allows. It all came to a head when tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour went on sale last November when fans waited for hours only to find out there were no tickets left except for the exorbitantly priced tickets scooped up by scalpers using bots.

It’s not the reunion fans have been hoping for, but seven years after One Direction pressed pause — DON’T CALL IT A BREAKUP! — The Sun is reporting that 3 out of 5 of them recently got together in a recording studio. Reporter Hannah Hope said, “I can reveal that Liam Payne headed to the studio with his former 1D bandmates Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson in Los Angeles, where he has been working on his eagerly awaited second album. I am told the trio recorded a track for Liam’s record, with guest vocals from Niall and Louis.” Her source said producers are hoping Liam includes it on his second album.

SPOILER ALERT! In April 2011, “The Voice” debuted with Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton sitting in the spinning judges’ chairs. Blake was the last one sitting. After a shocking 23 seasons spanning 12 years, Blake took his final bow as a judge last night, but he did NOT take home what would’ve been his tenth and final win. The night belonged to Gina Miles, who gave Niall Horan is first win as a first-time judge. Team Blake’s Grace West took second.
