Selena Gomez Has ‘Emotional Breakdown’

AMAs ratings… “Project Runway” gets a new host… Dakota Johnson addresses rumors… Channing Tatum dating Jessie J… and Selena Gomez has an ’emotional breakdown’

Did you watch the American Music Awards? You were among the few. The AMAs hit a new all-time low in the Nielsen ratings Tuesday night, down almost 30 percent from last year’s broadcast. But, last year’s awards were held on a Sunday night so maybe that had something to do with it. But it turns out more people wanted to watch “The Voice” and “This Is Us” on NBC, which won the ratings for the night. Back in September, the Emmys on NBC also suffered their worst ratings ever.

Last month, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn announced they were leaving “Project Runway” to launch a new show on Amazon. How could the show possibly go on without them?? Well, it will! Next year, the seventeenth season of “Project Runway” is leaving Lifetime and returning to its original home, Bravo, and it will be with new host Karlie Kloss and Christian Siriano takes over as mentor. Christian won Season 4 of “Project Runway.” Nina Garcia is back as a judge, along with fashion designer Brandon Maxwell and former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth.

It turns out it really WAS a birthday party. Dakota Johnson will be on Ellen today talking about this rumored baby gender reveal party. Remember how guests entered under pink and blue balloon arches and those blue balloons were suddenly released into the air? Dakota explained all that. She told Ellen, “It was my birthday and there were balloons that happened to be pink and blue and so then I was pregnant…I didn’t know that the balloons were gonna be released. They were just in an arch, but I guess that accidentally happened when one of the ends just got let go.” Just to put make sure we all got the memo on that, Dakota went to a yoga class yesterday and made sure to take off her sweatshirt and expose her flat belly for the waiting paparazzi.

I don’t know why I was surprised to find out that Channing Tatum knows Jessie J. But not only does he know her, he’s dating her! It was just six months ago that Jenna Dewan dropped Tatum and now the first woman Channing dates looks pretty much like his former wife. Somebody tweeted on Saturday, “Who knew a mini golf job could be so crazy. Tonight I had to watch one of my a**h**** ex professors make out with his fiancé, then my coworker cut his hand open and had to go to the hospital, and finally Jessie j and Channing Tatum came in to play a round.” When someone asked about it, this person responded, “Lol they were hella nice. Jessie came down and I was shook and then when I went to get them to play, Channing turned around and I was like (buggy eye emojis). We hugged and got a pic and then I got to hear Jessie singing somebody to love with the radio at the end of the course.” A source told People magazine that this is very new. No comments from anybody’s reps, of course.

There’s one thing you can say about Selena Gomez — when she needs help with her mental health, she’s not afraid to get it. Sources say Selena is now receiving treatment after suffering a string of panic attacks related to health issues from her kidney transplant. TMZ is reporting Selena was deeply depressed because her white blood cell count was alarmingly low. A family member took her to the hospital for treatment and Selena was released a few days later. But her low blood cell count was still an issue, and Selena had to be readmitted to the hospital, which is what TMZ says caused her to completely melt down. After what one source described as an “extreme” panic attack, Selena realized it was time to get help. She and her family reportedly flew out to the East Coast and checked into the same mental health facility Selena visited back in February. She is now receiving dialectical behavior therapy, which helps people figure out what triggers them emotionally and teaches them coping skills that will help them avoid having undesired reactions, such as severe panic attacks.
