Listen to “Showbiz – Apr 21, 2023” on Spreaker.
“Maxim” is out with their Hot 100 issue — the 100 women they deem as the hottest on the planet. This year Ashley Graham makes the cover as the World’s Sexiest Woman. Other women making the list include Margot Robbie, Ana de Armas, Lily-Rose Depp, Cara Delevingne, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, and 93 others. A lot of positive and negative online conversations are being had about having a plus-sized woman chosen as the sexiest woman in the world. But as Ashley told the magazine, “We can look at everybody’s shapes and sizes, gender, ethnicity, and age as part of who they are; it doesn’t have to be a negative or a positive. It should be something that’s easily embraced, and we don’t need to be having these conversations all the time.” Ashley also said, “The first time I was on the cover of Maxim I did not have three kids, and this time I have three little babies. It makes you remember that ‘hotness’ is in so many scenarios, and comes in all shapes and sizes.” Ashley and her husband Justin Ervin share 3-year-old son Isaac and 15-month-old twins Roman and Malachi.

Sony Pictures owns the rights to the Spider-Man franchise, and the character joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to a partnership between Sony and Disney. As a result, Disney+ announced yesterday that will be streaming six of the 12 movies in the Spider-Man franchise. Starting today, we get four:
“Spider-Man” (2002) — Tobey Maguire stars as Peter Parker, an average teenager who becomes a superhero after being bitten by a radioactive spider. His nemesis in this one is the Green Goblin.
“Spider-Man 2” (2004) — Tobey is back as Peter Parker, who’s trying to balance his life as a college student and a superhero. In this one, he faces Otto Octavius, who is reincarnated as Doc Ock.
“Spider-Man 3” (2007) — Tobey takes another swing as Spider-man. This time he faces Sandman, Venom, the New Goblin and the enemy within himself.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012) — Andrew Garfield takes over as Peter Parker/Spider-man, with Emma Stone replacing Kirsten Dunst as MJ.
Starting May 12, Disney+ will begin streaming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017) and “Venom” (2018).
‘THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN’ releases on Disney+ tomorrow.

“Panda” rapper Desiigner is seeking mental health treatment after exposing himself on an international flight. According to TMZ, Desiigner was flying back to the US after a trip that included stops in Thailand and Tokyo. At some point during the flight, he exposed himself and authorities were waiting for him when the plane landed in Minneapolis. After being questioned and released, Desiigner released this statement: “For the past few months I have not been ok, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on. While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted in to a hospital, I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting myself in a facility to help me. I will be cancelling all of my shows and any obligations until further notice. Mental health is real guys, please pray for me. If you’re not feeling like yourself please get help.”

Criminal charges against Alec Baldwin for the shooting that killed “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins have been dismissed without prejudice, meaning they may be relied at a later time. After the DA and special prosecutor stepped away from the case, two new people were appointed as special prosecutors. Yesterday, those prosecutors released a statement saying “new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case.” Alec’s attorney see this as a huge win and that “encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.” Charges against “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. At a preliminary hearing on May 3, she is expected to plead not guilty. Meantime, production has resumed on “Rust,” which has moved from New Mexico to Montana.

It looks like Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are back together. Days after they were seen making out at Coachella, Australian journalist Jessica Rendall was in the right place at the right time and videoed the two of them holding hands as they walked down a sidewalk in Venice, California. Jessica told People, “I was on my phone and when I looked up they were walking towards me, hand-in-hand. I must’ve had a very shocked look on my face because Shawn gave me a knowing smirk as they walked past. They were very deep in conversation but seemed super comfortable and happy together.” This sighting came the same night Camila shared a snippet of her new song “June Gloom” on Instagram, and the lyrics sent her fans over the edge. Camila sings, “Are you coming to Coachella? If you don’t, it’s whatever. If you do, honey, it’ll be all I think about.” Camilla captioned it “4.12,” which was last Wednesday — just a couple days before she hooked up with Shawn at Coachella! So is that the day Camila invited Shawn to Coachella and he accepted? Or is this a publicity stunt to promote her new music?
