Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have confirmed their engagement, which announced their engagement nearly a year after the actor popped the question. Dylan’s twin Cole interviewed the couple for V Magazine, and Barbara revealed they got engaged in September. Our suspicions were correct about them wanting to keep it quiet because they were working with V to announce it, and Barbara was real annoyed when rumors about their engagement leaked in March. Their PR team wanted them to make a statement at the time, but Dylan said they decided to stick with the plan and announce it now. They didn’t share any details about the proposal, other than Dylan had the ring for 7 months before he asked. We did learn that they’ll get married in Barbara’s home country of Hungary, and yes, Cole will be the best man. Cole asked about they were going to do the Hungarian tradition of kidnapping the bride on the wedding night, and it sounds like they will. Barbara explained, “There’s this fun little part where the groomsmen kidnap the bride and the bridesmaids put Dylan to the test to see if he really deserves me. He has to do challenges to get me back and then he has to find me.” Barbara said the challenges are “usually silly, like drinking out of your shoe, dancing, beatboxing — whatever the girls feel is necessary for you to prove your love.”

This story made headlines yesterday — “Jennifer Lawrence’s Mom Sold Her Toilet on Craigslist.” Jennifer has been doing lots of press for her upcoming movie “No Hard Feelings,” and she told People, “Years ago, Lee Eisenberg (the co-producer of “No Hard Feelings”) bought a toilet on Craigslist from my mom. My toilet.” The reporter asked for more details, but Jennifer just shrugged her shoulders and said, “I don’t know…I’m like, ‘I broke it.’ My mom sold it for me.” That story immediately blew up, even though it’s completely untrue. Lee posted a link to the People article and captioned it, “It’s a thrill to be a part of the cultural conversation. I’ve never bought Jennifer Lawrence’s old toilets, but maybe this will open the door.” It looks like Jennifer was just worn out from doing non-stop press and answering the same questions over and over again, so she was just having a little fun and breaking up the monotony.

Back in 2019 Scooter Braun bought Big Machine Label Group for $330M, and Taylor Swift’s entire music catalog was included in the sale. Taylor said she was blindsided by the news, claiming she was never involved in any of the phone calls and had no part in this deal whatsoever. But maybe she did know at least a little something after all. According to Music Business Worldwide, Taylor’s dad Scott Swift was one of five shareholders at Big Machine Label Group and owned 5% of the company. Because of that, he got a check for $15M when Scooter bought it. Back in 2019 Scott claimed he had no knowledge of the deal before it happened because he intentionally skipped a private NDA-signed phone call about a potential deal because he didn’t want to have to withhold anything from his daughter. But just the fact that he knew there was a phone call AT ALL should’ve tipped Taylor off…….right?

Conor McGregor has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Game 4 of the NBA Finals …. yes, the same game where he punched the mascot at halftime and sent the guy to the hospital. TMZ has video that appears to show Conor making his way through a crowd before saying something to this woman, grabbing her by the hand and leading her into a VIP bathroom, where his security guards waited outside. Once inside the bathroom, the woman claims she was sexually assaulted. I won’t go into details but the details are very violent and graphic, and they’re on the internet if you choose to look them up. The woman claims she kept elbowing Conor until she had a window to escape, but she left in such a rush that she forgot her purse and had to beg Conor’s security to give it back to her. Four days later, she returned with her lawyer and the clothes she wore the night of the alleged assault. She believes Conor’s DNA will be all over them. Instead of going to court, the woman is asking for settlements from the NBA, the Miami Heat and Conor, of course. Conor’s rep says these allegations are false, that her story keeps changing and this is obviously just a shakedown. The NBA and the Heat have launched investigations.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer part of the Spotify family. In a joint statement, both parties say this was a mutual decision and they are proud of the Archetypes podcast, which they made together. But sources say they’re just putting lipstick on a pig because things weren’t so pretty behind the scenes. Back in 2020 Spotify paid Harry and Meghan $18M up front for a 3-year deal, so this contract ran its course anyway. According to a source, 2021 came and went and Harry and Meghan hadn’t produced anything. So in January 2022, Spotify reportedly hired a huge team of podcast experts to help build content for Meghan’s Archetypes podcast, which finally dropped last August. It debuted at No. 2, quickly fell to No. 77 just kept plummeting. After the 12th episode aired in November, it’s been crickets. Spotify didn’t exactly see a return on their $18M investment, so at the beginning of the year they started cutting hundreds of jobs. And then yesterday we heard that Spotify will not renew Archetypes for Season 2 and bid Harry and Meghan adieu. However, a spokeswoman for Archewell Productions told The Wall Street Journal, “Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.” Meantime, Meghan has her sights set on bigger things. She recently signed with the WME talent agency. According to a source, Meghan no longer wants to be an actress, she wants to be a producer. And she’s hoping her team at WME can turn her into a true Hollywood power player, helping her build brand partnerships and create projects she can produce.
