Taylor Swift Dropped A New Video

Weekend box office news… Infamous Father’s Day roundup… Blac Chyna’s reality show… J-Lo’s new interview… and Taylor Swift dropped a new video

It was a ho-hum weekend at the box office. “Men in Black International” debuted in first place with a disappointing $28.5 million. Rotten Tomatoes critics hate it. It only received 24% positive reviews. Audiences were a bit kinder, giving it a B CinemaScore. The only other new movie was “Shaft.” Again, critics weren’t impressed, giving it a 35% positive rating, but audiences strongly disagreed, giving the movie a solid A. Still, it only earned $8.3 million for a sixth place finish.

Infamous Father’s Day Roundup! Bill Cosby decided to share a Father’s Day message on his Instagram. He posted a video from way back in the day where he’s talking about how our country destroyed black families through slavery and racism. He captioned it, “Hey, Hey, Hey…It’s America’s Dad…I know it’s late, but to all of the Dads… It’s an honor to be called a Father, so let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose — strengthening our families and communities.” His spokesman said Bill wanted to show his support for the group Man Up, and it was meant to encourage men who are about to be released from prison to be better fathers and productive citizens. Reactions were mixed, but Bill’s still getting a lot of love! And another infamous father, OJ Simpson, has decided the time is right to join Twitter. He posted an introductory video, saying we’ll get to read all his thoughts and opinions on just about everything, adding, “Now, there’s a lot of fake OJ accounts out there. So this one, @TheRealOJ32 is the only official one. So, this should be a lot of fun. I’ve got a little getting even to do. So God bless. Take care.” He posted a follow-up video, addressing rumors about him hooking up with Kris Jenner, which led to the birth of Khloe Kardashian. He said it never happened and calls the rumors “bogus, bad, tasteless.”

Blac Chyna’s been filming her new reality show, “The Real Blac Chyna,” which debuts on the Zeus streaming network later this summer. Rob Kardashian doesn’t want their 2-year-old daughter Dream to be any part of it, so he had his lawyer fire off a letter to Chyna explaining that in very legal, threatening terms. Chyna didn’t like that one bit and fired off her own response on Instagram. She’s ticked that Rob didn’t reach out to her directly and have an adult conversation about it. If he had, she said Rob would’ve learned that she would never allow Dream to be “subjected to long hours on the set,” and that she made sure Dream wasn’t there when she had that huge fight with her mom. Chyna also pointed out the hypocrisy of Rob making this demand when he lets the Kardashians put their daughter on their show without getting Chyna’s written consent.

Jennifer Lopez told People magazine that even though she’s been married three times, she doesn’t really count the first two. She explained that her first (to Ojani Noa) only lasted 9 months and the second (to Chris Judd) only lasted 11 months. But she does count her third marriage to Marc Anthony. She explained, “I was married to Marc for 10 years with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married. I’m saying ‘tried’ to get married!” Jennifer said, basically, she married the first two men out of loneliness. And she said that’s “a bad reason to get married.” As far as her upcoming wedding to Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer said it will happen “not soon-soon, but next year.” And she wants to a church wedding because she’s never had one!

Taylor Swift dropped the new video for “You Need To Calm Down” this morning, and it’s filled with celebrity cameos. The video stars friend of our show Todrick Hall, who also happens to be one of Taylor’s best friends and serves as co-executive producer for the video! And because the song is about love and tolerance for the gay community, the video is filled with lots of gay celebrities. Look for the cast of “Queer Eye,” RuPaul, Laverne Cox, Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Lambert, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Billy Porter, just to name a few. Ryan Reynolds pops up for a nanosecond, but the biggest cameo is reserved for former frenemy Katy Perry. Dressed as a hamburger to Taylor’s french fries, the two come together to dance and embrace in a hug, solidifying for the universe that they’ve let bygones be bygones.
