Kat Von D gets baptized… TV updates… Jamie Spears’ failed stint in rehab… Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner mediation… and Taylor Swift flies out of NYC ahead of Travis Kelce’s birthday

About 3 years ago, Kat Von D turned her back on LA and moved to Indiana. She said, “(With) all that has been taking place in California, with terrible policies, tyrannical government overreach, ridiculous taxing, amongst so many more corruption, we just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where there is nature, where my son can be free to play, and where we can eventually retire one day.” Well, that move to a small town had an even bigger impact that she expected. She has now denounced the occult, accepted Christ, and yesterday she shared the most beautiful video of her baptism on Instagram. Last July, Kat opened up about the spiritual battle she’d been experiencing. She said, “Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be. I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.” She also made it clear that she wasn’t judging those who are into that stuff, but she said, “It’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light.”

With the writers strike is over, late night talk shows are back and the daytime talk shows that employed union writers are preparing to return, as well. Kelly Clarkson starts taping her new season of shows on Tuesday from the her show’s new home at 30 Rock. Her fifth season will begin airing on Monday, Oct. 16. That same day, Drew Barrymore’s fourth season will begin airing, but minus a few familiar faces. Her decision to try to come back before the writers’ strike ended ticked off her top writers, including 3 who have been with Drew since Day One and are now refusing her plea to return to the show.

Jamie Lynn Spears was the second celebrity to be kicked off “Dancing With the Stars,” and the online reaction from social media trolls has been nothing short of brutal. Now she’s back home with her family in Louisiana, and that includes her dad. The Daily Mail reports that Jamie Spears has been living in Jamie Lynn’s guest house since another failed attempt at rehab for alcoholism, and Britney is LIVID. Britney hasn’t seen or spoken to her dad since her conservatorship ended in November 2021, and she feels like her baby sister is betraying her by welcoming him into her home.

Day one of their four day mediation was a long one! After 8 hours of negotiations, Sophie Turner was seen leaving their meeting around 6pm last night. Joe Jonas didn’t leave until 2 hours later. Both looked exhausted. A source told Page Six, “Joe is committed to making it work with Sophie in mediation and doesn’t want to put up a fight — as long as they can come to a fair agreement on the kids.” Joe and Sophie share two daughters, 3-year-old Willa and 1-year-old Delphine. An LA-based family law specialist who is not involved in this case told “People” that mediation is “a common way to make headlines disappear,” but both parties have to decide whether they want to hash this out publicly or privately. He further explained, “If the mediation proves successful, Jonas and Turner will likely hatch a custody agreement that extends roughly three years to when their eldest, Willa, will attend kindergarten. That’s probably about as far as they’re going to get in this mediation.”

Taylor Swift’s luggage was loaded up into an SUV waiting outside her Tribeca apartment yesterday and she was driven to a private airport in NJ where she boarded her jet for……we assume Kansas City, Missouri. Travis Kelce is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. A source told Page Six that Travis didn’t really have any plans to do anything because of a previous work commitment, but maybe Taylor has come up with a little something something for her new man. And we also don’t know yet if Taylor plans on bing in Minneapolis this Sunday where the Chiefs are set to play the Vikings.
