Super Bowl weekend is typically bad for the box office, and this year proved no exception. With $6.5M, Argylle earned enough to pull off another first-place finish. In its first two weeks of release, this movie has earned $60M globally. At a cost of $200M, Argylle will go down as the first big box office bomb of 2024. The new horror/comedy Lisa Frankenstein opened with $3.8M, barely eking out a second place finish. The Beekeeper was third with $3.46M, followed by Wonka with $3.1M and Migration with $3.02M.

ABC has confirmed that The Golden Bachelorette is happening. All we know so far is that it will premiere sometime this fall. The elderly Bachelorette will be named at a later date. AARP took a poll to find out their favorite neat, neat lady to hand out roses. Their first choice is retired health teacher Ellen, who was encouraged to go for Gerry by her friend Roberta, who later passed away from cancer. AARP’s second choice is private school administrator Joan, who left the show early to deal with a family emergency. If it’s not Joan, AARP would be happy with high school teacher Faith, who was eliminated after the hometown dates. Coming in fourth is Kris Jenner lookalike Susan, who officiated Gerry’s wedding to Theresa. And round out their top five choices is fitness instructor Leslie, who was Gerry’s runner-up.

Michael Jordan wasn’t happy that his son was dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, but now it looks like he may not have to worry about that anymore. Back in August, Marcus Jordan gave Larsa Pippen a promise ring. When asked by reporters, both said an engagement was imminent. But over the weekend, and just after a little more than a year of dating, Larsa wiped her Instagram clean of Marcus and unfollowed him on Instagram. He returned the favor. Larsa also posted a poll asking her followers, “Should your friends unfollow your ex?” She then shared a video of Morgan Freeman talking about trusting your inner voice.

Usher and his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, on Feb. 8, leading many to believe they would get hitched in Vegas sometime around the Super Bowl. Last night at a special dinner celebrating his Halftime show, Usher and Jennifer entered the party dressed in elaborate white outfits as producer Bryan-Michael Cox announced, “Congrats to the newlyweds in the building!” Sources told Page Six the couple had just come from a private ceremony at an undisclosed location. Usher and Jennifer have been together since 2019 and share two children, 3-year-old daughter Sovereign and 2-year-old son Sire Castrello Raymond.

While everyone else is talking about their favorite Super Bowl commercials, let’s talk about the CLOTHES! Taylor Swift flew in from Japan, grabbed a power nap and threw on an all-black ensemble to watch her boyfriend win the Super Bowl. Taylor chose a Dion Lee crochet corset top ($650) which she paired with black Area jeans with crystal-encrusted slits on both thighs (either $800 or $1358, depending on where you shop). She topped that with a Wear by Erin Andrews bomber jacket ($130) and black Christian Louboutin boots with the number 87 on the sides. Around Taylor’s neck was a custom Stephanie Gottlieb “87” ($4250) and she carried a jewel-encrusted Judith Leiber “87” football clutch ($4995), which was a gift from Shaquille O’Neal! Arriving to the game with Taylor was one of her best friends, Blake Lively. Blake wore a red Adidas tracksuit with sky-high stilettos. Page Six says she was wearing close to half a million dollars in jewelry, including almost $160K worth of necklaces, $4000 Elsa Peretti snake earrings, and 14 Tiffany & Co. statement bracelets.
