Box office weekend… Holiday Specials… Jax Taylor upsets passengers… Gigi Hadid & Bradley Cooper were spotted… and Taylor Swift not at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game

“The Exorcist: Believer” earned $27.2M in its opening weekend. This is a direct sequel to the 1973 original — totally disregarding the four sequels in between. Critics hate it. The movie only got 22% on Rotten Tomatoes with a verified audience score of 59%. If you don’t want to see it in a big, dark, scary theater, you can wait until Nov. 3 when it starts streaming on Peacock. “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie” got bumped to second with $11.7M. Some of the celebrity voices parents may recognize include Chris Rock, Kristen Bell, Tarji P. Henson, James Marsden, Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian. Third place this weekend belonged to “Saw X” with another $8.15M. This movie cost just $13M to produce, and after 10 days of release, it’s already earned $32.5M. And if you’re choosing between which scary movie to watch, Rotten Tomatoes’ critics like this one a whole lot better than the “Exorcist” sequel. They gave it 82% positive reviews, with a verified audience score of 90 percent.

There are only 76 days till Christmas! And to get us in the holiday mood, Selena Gomez will host a 4-part Food Network special called “Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays.” Selena will be joined by celebrity chefs Eric Adjepong, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon, and Claudette Zepedawith, who will create delicious holiday recipes, featuring everything from roast beef to tamales! The first of four specials premieres on Nov. 30. And Roku is delivering “A Very Demi Holiday Special” at a time to be determined with guests they have yet to announce. All Roku will say is that Demi and a handful of her famous friends will sing a collection of our holiday favorites including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and “Rocking’ Around the Christmas Tree,” along with songs from her most recent “REVAMPED” album, which features rock remixes of her hits.

Jax Taylor is getting blamed for a massive flight delay, but it’s really not his fault. Jax had been in NYC to host the opening of a new speakeasy called Newsroom and was flying back home to LA. Most likely as part of his contract, Jax was booked in first class on JetBlue, which features a seat that can lie fully flat so you can sleep on a long-haul flight. Jax was probably testing it out before the flight took off, but it apparently got stuck in the bed position. The plane can’t take off unless the seat is in its upright position, so that because a huge problem. A source told Page Six, it ended up causing the flight to be 2.5 hours late, which was a huge problem for international travelers who had connections to make at LAX. Reportedly 13 passengers traveling to Singapore and China had about an hour to get off the plane and make it to another terminal, causing some missed and rescheduled flights. Passengers were ticked. One tweeted, “Turns out it was some D-list reality TV person.” But WAS it Jax’s fault, really? Is he the ultimate villain? We’ll find out when Jax appears on E’s “House of Villains,” which premiers this Thursday.

A little something could be brewing between Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper. On Sept. 30, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds threw a 7th birthday party for their daughter Inez. Gigi brought her 2-year-old daughter Kai and Bradley brought his 6-year-old daughter Lea. Perhaps the two of then hit it off because five days later, Gigi and Bradley enjoyed a lovely dinner date at Via Carota in NYC. We’re not sure if they arrived together but they left in the same vehicle.

Has it fizzled out as quickly as it flared up? Last Wednesday, Taylor Swift boarded her private jet for what we assumed was a trip to Kansas City, Missouri, to celebrate Travis Kelce’s 34th birthday on Thursday. But Thursday came and went, and there were no Taylor sightings. Travis celebrated part of his birthday sitting in a large SUV parked in the lot at Arrowhead Stadium. (What were they doing in there?) No Taylor Swift in sight. That night, Travis, his agent and two of his teammates went to a steakhouse for his birthday dinner. No Taylor Swift in sight. And then Sunday, there were lots of disappointed fans wearing their customized Swiftie jerseys who showed up at the Chiefs vs. Vikings game in Minneapolis, expecting to see Taylor cheering on her man from a private box. Again, no Taylor Swift in sight. In fact, if anybody has had a Taylor Swift sighting, please let me know!
