Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan announced they will be starring in a Karate Kid remake, based on the original from 1984. Ralph will play a very grown up Daniel LaRusso, but Pat Morita — who played Mr. Miyagi — has passed away. Jackie will bring back Dr. Han from the 2010 remake. And in even bigger news, they are doing a global casting search for the next Karate Kid! The plan is to start shooting in the spring and have the movie in theaters on Dec. 13, 2024.

Kelly Clarkson has won another legal battle in her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. This time, a labor commissioner ruled that Brandon overcharged his then-wife by millions when he worked as her manager. According to legal documents seen by TMZ, Brandon would book gigs and sign deals for Kelly for The Voice, Norwegian Cruise Line, Wayfair and more. With few exceptions, only agents — NOT managers — can lawfully secure roles for talent. So now Brandon has been ordered to pay back over $2.6M in commissions he overcharged Kelly.

In her IG Stories, Deuxmoi reminds us that when she posts emails she receives from anonymous sources that this is all just for entertainment, reminding us the “some information posted will be accurate, some will not.” She added, “If people don’t understand the nature of emails then that’s on them. If it doesn’t come from MY MOUTH then don’t believe it.” Then she posted about what was all over the internet yesterday — how Jack Antonoff revealed he and Taylor Swift recorded You’re Losing Me in December of 2021, meaning that she and Joe Alwyn broke up well over a year before we found out. But then Deuxmoi posted from an anonymous source, “I can 150% confirm that Taylor and Joe were still together at the end of December 2022…” But this next post is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Deuxmoi stands by her report that Taylor and Joe had a ceremony in the UK in either 2020 or 2021 that was described to her as a “marriage” but was never made legal. And that’s when Taylor’s publicist Tree Paine posted, “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.” Deuxmoi responded by questioning why — out of ALL the things she’s reported about Taylor and Joe — THIS is the one thing that got Tree (and Taylor) so angry. MAYBE — she speculated — either Taylor and Travis are about to announce their engagement or there’s some other story that’s about to be leaked. Either way, Deuxmoi said, “I make zero dollars from lying…can publicists say the same (shrugging emoji).” Then she slides in, “Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”
