Forbes is out with another list! This time it’s the highest paid athletes of 2023. Topping the list just like he has every year since 2017 is Cristiano Ronaldo. Forbes estimates his annual earnings are right about $136M. When Cristiano left Manchester United to join the Saudi Arabian team in January, they basically doubled his salary, which Forbes said is now around $75M. The rest of his income is from endorsements. Forbes says Lionel Messi isn’t too far behind him with $130M, followed by yet another soccer player, Kylian Mbappé with $120M. The rest of the top 10 are:

  1. LA Laker LeBron James, $119.5 million.
  2. Boxer Canelo Alvarez, $110 million.
  3. Golfer Dustin Johnson, $107 million.
  4. Golfer Phil Mickelson, $106 million.
  5. Golden State Warrior Steph Curry, $100.4 million.
  6. Tennis star Roger Federer, $95.1 million.
  7. Phoenix Sun Kevin Durant, $89.1 million.

Interesting to note that Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson lost a bunch of sponsors when they agreed to play in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league. But they obviously more than made up for that in prize money.

There are 13 in total, including the fan vote winner George Michael and Missy Elliott, who became the first female rapper to get in. After hearing the news, Missy tweeted that she’d been crying all morning, adding, “You day dream of these moments but today it’s real.” But now it’s time for critics and fans to complain about who still hasn’t made it into the Hall of Fame. Some of the most glaring omissions — according to some opinions — include The B-52’s, Annie Lennox, Phil Collins, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Boston, Foreigner, Iggy Pop, Iron Maiden, The Monkees, Motley Crue, INXS, Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Weezer, Weird Al Yankovic…..I COULD KEEP GOING!!

After 18 years of marriage, Kevin Costner’s wife Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce on Monday. News broke on Tuesday. By Wednesday, after much hemming and hawing, Kevin reportedly finally made the decision that he will not be coming back to “Yellowstone.” Until now, we’ve heard it was because of tension between Kevin and the show’s co-creator Taylor Sheridan. But RadarOnline reported that about a year ago, Christine told Kevin that his intense shooting schedule was impacting their family and told him he needed to quit “Yellowstone” after Season 5. Was her decision to file for divorce what forced Kevin to make the move now?

It’s been just over 3 weeks since Jamie Foxx suffered what his daughter Corinne described as a “medical complication.” He remains in an Atlanta hospital, but we’ve had no health update since Corinne’s first post. Yesterday, Jamie — or someone from his team? — posted on his Instagram “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” with praying hands, heart and fox emojis. And when Fox made the announcement that Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne would be taking over for Jamie and Corinne on Season 6 of “Beat Shazam,” Jamie — or someone from his team — reposted the story, captioning it, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon, see u all soon.”

In news that simply can’t be true, “The Sun” claims to have sources saying that Taylor Swift has been dating Matt Healy from The 1975 for a couple of months…they are “madly in love”…and they’re planning to go public at her concert in Nashville THIS FRIDAY! DeuxMoi didn’t go that far, but she did say she heard Jack Antonoff is responsible for setting these two up. According to DailyMail, Taylor met Matt in 2014 when she and Selena Gomez went to one of The 1975’s concerts. When gossips tried to start rumors Taylor and Matt were dating, he denied it. He did admit, however, that they had exchanged numbers “in the same way a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally.” One the years, they did work on music together — some of which didn’t make it to Taylor’s “Midnights” album. And in January, she jumped on stage with The 1975 to sing her song “Anti-hero” and The 1975’s “The City.” Matt had previously been kissing random people at concerts, but that night he told the crowd, “I’m not kissing anybody in front of Taylor Swift! Have some respect! In front of the Queen, it’s not happening.” But “The Sun” claims there was no cheating involved because Taylor and Joe Alwyn actually broke up in February before her relationship with Matt began.
