At the 1984 Summer Olympics in LA, 16-year-old Mary Lou Retton made history when she became the first American to win an individual all-around gold medal in gymnastics. And this morning, 55-year-old Mary Lou Retton is fighting for her life in ICU, battling a rare form of pneumonia. We found out when her daughter McKenna Kelley posted a link to a Spotfund page, explaining, “My amazing mom, Mary Lou, has a very rare form of pneumonia and is fighting for her life. She is not able to breathe on her own. She’s been in the ICU for over a week now. Out of respect for her and her privacy, I will not disclose all details. However, I will disclose that she not insured. We ask that if you could help in any way, that 1) you PRAY! and 2) if you could help us with finances for the hospital bill.” The fundraising goal is $50K. As of last check, it was quickly approaching $200K.

Christina Aguilera has announced her second Las Vegas residency. Last go round, Christina posted up at Planet Hollywood to perform 24 concerts between 2019 and 2020, grossing $10M in the process. This time, she’ll be at the brand new 1000-seat Voltaire theater located inside The Venetian Resort and Casino. In making the announcement on her Instagram, Christina posted videos of a photo shoot promoting the residency. She captioned it, “Immerse yourself in the fusion of art and music. I’m bringing an intimate, seductive and sophisticated new show to Las Vegas. @voltairelv will allow me to be up-close-and-personal with YOU for a truly modern twist on the performance experience, TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY!” Those tickets will be for her first shows on New Year’s Eve weekend. Future dates will also be announced on Friday. In addition to her upcoming residency, Christina also announced the launch of her new fragrance, Xtina. She said, “This scent was inspired by the idea of personal transformation, and is designed to leave you feeling empowered and free.’

During his fireside chat interview yesterday, MGK was talking about the launch of his 27 Coffee Club when things got real awkward real quick. In a video posted to Instagram, MGK noticed a man approaching the stage, jumped up with his hands balled into fists and warned this gu, “My man, get the (BLANK) away from me! Yo, what are you doing? What are you doing? This is a bad look. Don’t make me do this.” Security intervened before fists were thrown. When things settled back down, MGK apologized to the audience saying, “I try to live the dichotomy more on this side than the other guy. I left that guy in the past. I’m really sorry. I do apologize for my primal reaction.” But the interview praised MGK for how he handled the situation and the audience agreed.

Us Weekly was first to report and Page Six has confirmed that Taylor Swift DID spend part of the weekend with Travis Kelce to celebrate his 34th birthday. While she wasn’t there for his actual birthday last Thursday, Us Weekly said Taylor flew from Nashville to Kansas City on Friday and spent a “chill night” with Travis. Then she flew back home and he flew to Minnesota, where the Chiefs beat the Vikings on Sunday. Meantime, The Grove in LA is shutting down for the entire day so 2200 of Taylor’s fans can attend the world premiere of her “Eras Tour” concert film in its 14 AMC theaters tonight. The mall’s owners promised to compensate all the businesses in The Grove for the business they will lose today.
