Listen to “Showbiz – Jan 4, 2021” on Spreaker.

Alex Trebek passed away on November 8th, about 18 months after announcing he had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was 80. Alex worked right up until the end, filming his final episode of “Jeopardy!” on October 29th. Producers say that Alex didn’t know at that time that he was filming his last show. But starting today, the final five episodes Alex taped will begin airing. Beginning January 11th, Ken Jennings will serve as guest host until a permanent replacement is announced. Ken is said to be among the frontrunners for the job, as well as George Stephanopoulos, LeVar Burton, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Pat Sajak.

“Wonder Woman 1984” earned another $5.5M at the US box office over the New Year’s holiday weekend. That brings its global earnings to $118.5M. “Wonder Woman 1984” was released simultaneously on HBO Max, which has been saying the movie is popular, but isn’t providing any hard numbers. Despite very mixed reviews, Warner Bros. has already announced that Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins will reunite for a third Wonder Woman movie.

Stassi Schroder, Kristen Doute, Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens were all fired from “Vanderpump Rules” last summer for racist comments and actions. Andy Cohen — who is an executive producer for the show — told the “New York Times” the firings were “decisions for that moment,” but in hindsight, he would’ve done things differently. Andy said he would have preferred all these people to work through their issues and learn their lessons on camera rather than just cut their storylines altogether. He said, “It’s more interesting to sit in the moment with people that you have a rooting interest in and watch them find their way than it is just turning out the lights and forgetting it existed.”

Celebrity relationship roundup! Brian Austin Green may finally have found the woman who can help him get over Megan Fox. He and “Dancing With the Stars” pro Sharna Burgess were spotted vacationing together at the Four Seasons Hualalai in Hawaii. The only problem with this? This is the same hotel where Brian and Megan got married! Congratulations to “Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness, who revealed he married his best friend Mark Peacock. They managed to keep their relationship a secret until Jonathan announced they got married! And after 18 months of marriage, Zoe Kravitz has filed for divorce from Karl Glusman. And even though they say the decision was mutual, it sounds more like former Bachelor Peter the Pilot is the one who dumped Kelley Flanagan. Just recently, they announced they were moving to NYC together, but now he’s going there solo.

Hopefully the new Bachelor will find forever love when the new season debuts on ABC tonight. Matt James makes history as the show’s first black Bachelor. In a promo for the show, Matt said, “I feel a load of responsibility, but in that, I feel like my experience isn’t everyone’s experience. I can only go and speak on things that I’ve experienced and live out my truths. And do the best I can to represent who I am and how I was raised.” Matt is a 29-year-old real estate agent. He has 32 women to choose from, ranging in age from 21 to 32. Good luck with all that!
