Buckingham Palace announced this morning that Prince Philip has passed away. He was 99. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary back in November. According to the Daily Mail, the Queen will enter an 8-day period of mourning. Following the burial, which is expected to take place at Frogmore Gardens on the grounds of Windsor Castle, there will be another 30 days of Royal Mourning. In keeping with Prince Philip’s wishes, officials are preparing for a royal ceremonial funeral, complete with a military procession. The strict COVID restrictions are expected to ease up a bit by April 12, so they may be able to do something closer to normal. Of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return for the funeral. All eyes will be watching for any sign of friction between them and the Royal family.
