Cyberattack on MGM Resorts… Kim Zolciak heading back to reality TV… Aaron Rodgers “heartbroken”… Liam Payne was rushed to hospital… and The VMAs After-Parties

A hacking group that goes by the name Scattered Spider launched a cyber attack on the $14B gaming giant MGM Resorts International, which operates 19 resorts around the world inlacing the MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Luxor and New York New York in Vegas, as well as the Borgata in Atlantic City. And this is BAD. Jennifer Gay, who gives tips on vacationing in Vegas at VegasStarfish.com and goes by @VegasStarfish on Instagram, has been on top of this. Originally, all of her IG posts about this got taken down, but the one she posted Tuesday finally stuck. In it she said, “MGM Resorts issued a statement saying everything is okay and operational, but that is not true.” Jennifer said that as of Tuesday morning, all phone lines, websites and apps were down. Guests had to be checked in and out manually by employees using clip boards. Employees also weren’t able to view any receipts or charges, so I don’t know how they figured that out! Also, kiosk ATMs and credit card functions were down or limited, so all machines were being hand-paid by employees. And then yesterday, she posted, “Day 3 Update: MGM Resorts International is still under a Cyber Security Attack in Las Vegas and around the globe. Guest and Employee data, security and experiences have been tremendously impacted. Significant leaks of information have lead to the disclosure that Caesars Entertainment was also hacked and paid off the group of attackers and TOLD NO ONE. Once it was divulged on social media; they came clean.”

In TV news — Former Real Housewife of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak is heading back to reality TV. She’s joining Season 8 of “The Surreal Life,” which has moved from VH1 to MTV. Kim joins a crazy cast that includes Chet Hanks, Macy Gray, Ally Brooke, O.T. Genasis, Josie Conseco and Johnny Weir. Sources say the entire cast flew to Colombia, where filming has just begun.

It was his first time suiting up as a Jet and after just four plays, Aaron Rodgers is out for the season with an Achilles tear. But! He is NOT ready to limp away into the sunset. Aaron posted on IG yesterday, thanking everyone who’s reached and and promising he’s try to get back to everyone soon. Aaron said, “I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. 💔 Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today. 🙏 ♾️ ❤️ The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again. Proud of my guys, 1-0 🛩️ #” Aaron had signed a 3-year, $112.5M contract with the Jets, including $75M guaranteed.

A few weeks ago, Liam Payne posted a video announcing that he’d been hospitalized with a very serious kidney infection, which was forcing him to postpone his first solo tour to South America. Now Liam’s kidney problems have landed him back in the hospital. He was on vacation in Lake Como with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he became very ill. Liam was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and is expected to remain there for several days.

After the show, it’s all about the after party! And celebrities leaving the VMAs headed straight to the clubs….or a really nice dinner. After reuniting to present Best Pop Video to Taylor Swift, the five guys in N’ Sync had a private dinner wait about 50 of their closest team members and family at Chef John DeLucie’s new restaurant in the West Village called Ambra. Cardi B reportedly showed up at her afterparty at 2am, hopped on the bar and twerked for her guests while pouring Casamigos and squirting WhipShots boozy whipped cream into their mouths. While Diddy hosted over 400 guests including Mary J. Blige, Saweetie and Teyana Taylor, Selena Gomez hosted her own party upstairs in the same hotel. Her friends Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz all stopped by. Selena looked like she had a GOOD time when she checked out the next morning, wearing a wrist brace on her right hand.
