If you watched the Michael Jordan documentary “The Last Dance,” you saw the special relationship he had with the security guards who hung out with him inside the stadium when he got too famous to spend time out in public. Michael gave a lot of gifts to his personal security guard John Michael Wozniak, who passed away three months before “The Last Dance” came out. It’s a shame he didn’t get to see it. But his family is now auctioning off several of the gifts Michael gave John over the years, including a Rolex inscribed “To John M, From MJ 12-25-93.” The starting bid is $1500. There’s also a diamond-studded ring Michael gave to John and the others in his inner circle in 1998, celebrating his 6th NBA championship, and a Wizards jersey Michael wore in 2002. The bidding on that is up to $6K already. The auction will run for another month through the Lelands auction house.

While last season’s “Vanderpump Rules” was airing, heads were rolling left and right. Stassi and Kristen were fired for racist behavior toward Faith Stowers. And Max and Brett were axed after old racist tweets from the past reared their ugly heads. But since then, pretty much every woman in the cast has come up pregnant — Lala, Brittany, Scheana and the fired Stassi. It would all be great fodder for next season, but no cameras are rolling. In fact, E! News has learned that filming is on hold with no date set for a return to production. Showrunners are saying the show is NOT canceled, but everyone is just hanging tight until they can figure this out.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is still happening this year, but it will be very differently. Rather than the 2.5-mile stretch, the parade route will be limited to one city block, down 34th Street. The gigantic balloons that are usually held onto by dozens of volunteers will be attached to cars instead. Everyone involved in performances will be COVID tested and required to wear masks with singers allowed to remove their masks to perform. Some of the singers include Dolly Parton, Bebe Rexha, Ally Brooke, Tori Kelly, Jordan Sparks, Lauren Alaina, Sofia Carson, and Pentatonix. And any Broadway performances will be pre-recorded and aired during NBC.

Since we didn’t really have a lot of movies come out this year, MTV has scrapped their usual movie and TV awards show. Instead, Vanessa Hudgens will host the “MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time” special, which will “pay homage to the best of the best from the most beloved actors to scene stealing moments” and will feature “exclusive footage of the most anticipated 2021 releases.” Look for it on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 7pm Central.

The Weeknd has won the honor of performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which will be held on Feb. 7, 2021, in Tampa. In tweeting the news, The Weeknd said, “We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year.” It’s been a big year for The Weeknd, who was also named one of “Time” magazine’s most influential people of 2020.
