Elon Musk to go ahead with Twitter deal… “The Walking Dead” spinoff… Netflix pushes back… Pete Davidson’s removing his tattoo… and Tom Brady & Gisele Bündchen hire divorce lawyersListen to “Showbiz – Oct 5, 2022” on Spreaker.
Elon Musk is giving up. He’s going to go ahead and buy Twitter for $44B rather than face a long drawn-out legal battle. Elon had been trying to back out of the deal for several months, claiming Twitter under-counted the number of fake accounts on its platform. When Twitter sued him, Elon said the deal was off, which ticked off the shareholders who’d already approved the sale. But yesterday, Elon sent a letter to the SEC agreeing to follow through with his original offer, two weeks before Twitter’s lawsuit seeking to force him to go through with it was supposed to start.

“The Walking Dead” is back for its final eight-episode run, but AMC is getting fans pumped up about what’s to come in 2023. On Monday, they previewed the titles for its three upcoming spin-off shows in “The Walking Dead Universe.” In “Dead City,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan are back as Negan and Maggie, who have to survive in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan. In “Daryl Dixon,” Norman Reedus’ character finds himself in Paris. And in “Rick & Michonne,” Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprise their roles as they’re “thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead and ultimately, a war against the living.” All three are set to debut next year, along with the eighth season of “Fear the Walking Dead.”

According to Page Six, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are having second thoughts about some of the things they’ve filmed for their upcoming Netflix docuseries. They’ve been filming this thing for over a year now, but now they reportedly want to go back and cut huge chunks out, which isn’t sitting well with Netflix executives. A Netflix source told Page Six, “Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language…They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided — to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely.” Harry and Meghan were paid millions, so there’s a lot at stake here.
Pete Davidson apparently believes there’s no chance of getting back with Kim Kardashian because it looks like he’s getting rid of the tattoos he got in her honor. New photos of Pete show a little bandage sticking out of the collar of his shirt. He could be trying to cover up a fresh tattoo or possibly the fresh removal of one. That would be right about where Pete got “MY GIRL IS A LAWYER” inked on his collarbone.
Pete Davidson and his lawyer bae are obviously dunzo and now it seems he may have done the only thing left to scrub the past … ya, know like removing his tattoo. https://t.co/g4dKz1UMkY— TMZ (@TMZ) October 4, 2022
Multiple sources are saying Gisele Bundchen has hired a divorce attorney and Tom Brady is doing the same. A source told Page Six, “I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.” One source told Us Weekly that Gisele is waiting for Tom to make a grand gesture, but does that mean she expects him to quit football in the middle of the season to prove his love for her? A source told People that Tom is just trying to figure out what to do. The source also said that Tom and Gisele decided together that he would retire, but then he decided by himself that he would come back. She thought they were still discussing it when he made the announcement, and that’s what sent her over the edge.
