In casting news, The Wrap is reporting that Kevin Bacon has signed on for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.” There’s no info on what character Kevin will play, but he’s going a bunch of heavy-hitters for the 4th movie in this franchise, which is being produced by Netflix and Jerry Bruckheimer. Original cast members Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, John Ashton and Bronson Pinchot are back, along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylor Paige. Filming has begun, so this will probably start streaming on Netflix sometime in 2023. And Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed the rumor that John Corbett — who played one of her many lovers, Aiden — will be in Season 2 of “And Just Like That.” Perhaps Aiden is the one who will help her get over the shocking death of her husband, Big. Sarah said, “Season 2 is about resilience and rebound and laughter, and finding laughter more easily for people who might have experienced grief.”

The Try Guys tweeted on Tuesday, “Ned Fulmer is no longer working with The Try Guys. As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together. We thank you for your support as we navigate this change. The next day, they tweeted, “The TryPod will be taking a week off, and returning next week on Oct 6. We wanted to take some time to formulate our thoughts before recording the episode. Thanks for being patient.” When they do come back, it’s no doubt this will be the most listened-to episode of their podcast ever, because they will undoubtedly talk about Ned’s firing from their YouTube series. In case you missed it, somebody took pictures of Ned in a NYC club making out with one of his producers, Alexandria Herring, who also has a YouTube show called “Food Babies.” Whoever took those pictures sent them to Alexandria’s fiance, Will Thayer, who posted them on Reddit. Needless to say, the engagement is off. Meantime, Ned’s wife Ariel is sticking by him for now, at least. About an hour after The Try Guys announced he was fired, Ned released a statement saying, “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my children, and that’s where I am going to focus attention.” Ned and Ariel are still wearing their wedding rings in all the paparazzi photos taken since the scandal broke.

On his podcast, Shaquille O’Neal refused to take part in a conversation about Celtics Coach Ime Udoka cheating on his wife Nia Long, explaining, “I was a serial cheater. It would be crazy and blasphemous for me to get up here and say, ‘Boom, boom, bam.’ I can’t do that. I know these guys personally. I know they’re going through a lot because I went through a lot.” However, did take a moment to defend Adam Levine, who’s performing with Maroon 5 at Shaq’s charity even in Vegas this weekend. This is Adam’s first performance since he got busted for sending flirty DMs to multiple Instagram models. Shaq said, “Adam is a personal friend of mine. He’s always been a great guy. He’s coming to help kids out this weekend. That’s as solid as you can get. It’s not my job to say that you did this, you did that, as far as I’m concerned, he’s coming to help the kids out this weekend. He’s a good man in my book. He’s going through some things right now. But, I’m sure he will overcome this. Anyone who helps out kids, I’m with them.”

Typically, there’s not much a celebrity can do about online trolls. But thanks to the BTS ARMY, BTS’s record label has filed a new criminal complaint against one particular troll troll who’s been allegedly posting “malicious” statements and an “ill-intentioned rumor” about BTS across several online platforms. So far, Big Hit Music hasn’t identified the troll or revealed what was “malicious” and “ill-intentioned.” But they say they uncovered this person’s identity through their own surveillance methods, along with help from BTS fans. They’ve compiled over a year’s worth of trolling which they are presenting in their lawsuit. Big Hit Music said it has a “no settlement and no leniency” policy when it comes to pursuing legal action.

Based on the shocked reaction of his audience, everyone was surprised when Trevor Noah announced he would be leaving “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah” after seven years as host. He said he came to the decision after talking to “Daily Show” correspondent Roy Wood Jr. the day before. Roy simply reminded Noah that it had been seven years since he started and Trevor said, “I just found myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected. And I found myself thinking, throughout the time, you know, everything we’ve gone through. The Trump presidency, the pandemic. Just the journey of, you know, the more pandemic. And I realized that after the seven years, my time is up.” Roy immediately went on Twitter to say he was sorry for bringing the seven years up! When Trevor will leave and who will replace him is very much up in the air. But is Trevor simply seeing the writing on the wall? When Jon Stewart was hosting, the show pulled in an audience of 1.5M every night. Trevor’s numbers reportedly slumped to an average of 363K. The night before Trevor’s shocking announcement, he was photographed having a romantic evening and sharing a kiss with Dua Lipa.
