Gaten Matarazzo has a rare bone condition that also affects his teeth. Last week, he let us know he was going in for his fourth surgery, and in a followup Instagram post, Gaten let us know it was a complete success. Because of his condition, Gaten had a lot of extra teeth growing into his gums, and that’s what all these surgeries have been for. In this fourth surgery — which Gaten hopes is the last — surgeons removed 14 extra teeth, exposing six adult teeth that should’ve already grown in, and now they can. While he’s recovering, hopefully Gaten’s not reading all the negative reactions to his upcoming, 8-episode Netflix series called “Prank Encounters.” The press release says, “Each episode of this terrifying and hilarious prank show takes two complete strangers who each think they’re starting their first day at a new job. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.” So basically, the targets are people who are out of work. As one person tweeted, “As someone who had crippling depression when I was out of work for five months after being unceremoniously dropped by a company I had been with for 12 years, someone playing a joke like this would have broken me, and I guarantee there are people who this might drive to self-harm.” Netflix has responded to the backlash from all these people who haven’t even seen the show. They said, “The pranks in Prank Encounters are spooky, supernatural, and over the top, and everyone had a great time. All participants came in with the expectation this was a one-day, hourly gig and everyone got paid for their time.”

Yesterday, Louis Tomlinson was on the “BBC Breakfast” show to promote his new album. He was asked a few times about the deaths of his mother and sister. Louis answered politely, but later tweeted “Defo wont be going on there again Haha!” One of the hosts asked what Louis was so upset about, and he responded, “I was upset that you continued to ask me about my grief. It goes without saying how hard it is to lose both people so close to me. The least I ask is that you respect my decision of not wanting to be asked in interviews about something so painful. I’m lucky enough to have a creative outlet for me to talk about grief this doesn’t however give you the right to talk about it for gossip purposes.”

On last night’s episode of “The Bachelor” Peter the Pilot took all the women to Costa Rica. As part of their group date, Peter and a group of the ladies did a photo shoot for “Cosmopolitan” magazine and whoever had the best chemistry with Peter would be featured on the digital cover of Cosmo’s website. Victoria F won the competition, but she won’t get that cover. Cosmo’s editor-in-chief explained that a few weeks ago, she found out Victoria had modeled in a previous ad campaign where clothing that said “White Lives Matter.” Granted, this was part of a photoshoot for the Marlin Lives Matter organization which focuses on preventing white and blue marlins from being overfished. They also had clothing that said “Blue Lives Matter,” but you know what? It doesn’t matter! The editor said “both phrases and the belief systems they represent are rooted in racism and therefore problematic.”
