Barbara Walters 10 most fascinating people… Victoria Beckham will not be joining the Spice Girls tour… Rita Ora will be in Fifty Shades of Grey… Natalie Portman reveals a secret on the new Thor movie… and Victoria’s Secret will no longer use Jessica Hart
Every year, Barbara Walters decides who the ten most fascinating people of the year are, records an ABC special explaining their fascinatiousness, and that’s just the way it is. And — just like she always does — Barbara has let us know 9 of the 10 ahead of time, saving her number one most fascinating person for the big reveal on December 18. Here’s the nine we know, in no particular order: Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (she lumps them together as one fascinating person), Miley Cyrus, the men of Duck Dynasty (again, a bunch of people lumped into one), Robin Roberts, baby Prince George, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad and the Pope. Any guess on who’s more fascinating that the aforementioned?
Reuniting for the London Olympics was one thing, but Victoria Beckham has told Scary, Baby, Sporty and Ginger that Posh will not be joining them for the 20th anniversary of the Spice Girls tour. Scary Spice Mel B has been working on project Spice 20 non-stop. A source told “The Sun” that Mel sees this as a chance for a TV documentary, a new album, some live shows…but Victoria sees 2014 as a year to concentrate on her fashion label, not her music. And the source says Victoria has no desire to work on performing live again.
I didn’t read the book, so I don’t know if this is a big, juicy part or not, but Rita Ora is super excited to announce that she’s been cast as Christian Grey’s sister Mia in the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” That’s quite a big score for her first acting gig ever! Apparently, the book describes Mia as tall and curvaceous with raven hair. A quick dye job can fix that. “Fifty Shades” just started filming in Vancouver on Monday and is due in theaters in February of 2015.
Did you see “Thor: The Dark World” already? Wanna go watch it again? Because Natalie Portman revealed something pretty interesting about her character, the mortal scientist, Jane Foster. When she and Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, shared a passionate kiss at the end of the credits, that wasn’t Natalie. According the the NY Daily News, that scene was filmed after the main filming was done and Natalie wasn’t able to make it. So Chris’ wife, Elsa Pataky, put on a wig and Natalie’s costume and that’s ELSA who’s making out with her husband on the big screen, which is why the scene is so hot.
They teach kids a little song in Sunday school that goes “Oh, be careful little mouths what you say!” Apparently, model Jessica Hart didn’t do much church-going in her younger days or she forgot the words to the song because, remember a couple weeks ago when Taylor Swift performed at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show? And remember how Jessica walked the runway? And then remember how right after the show there was a big party and a reporter asked Jessica if she thought Taylor could ever make it as a VS model? That’s when Jessica blurted out, “No…God bless her heart. I think she’s great, but I don’t know…To me, she didn’t fit.” Even though she tried to fix it, the damage had been done. And now VS has banned Jessica from all future runway shows, and they’ll never book her for catalogs or ads again!
