Earlier this month, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts had an emergency medical procedure, which reportedly was “completely successful.” But because of that, Charlie announced he wouldn’t be able to join the band for their upcoming 13-date “No Filter” tour, which kicks off Sept. 26 in St. Louis. Yesterday, Charlie reportedly passed away peacefully at a hospital in London. No cause of death was given. He was 80. Charlie joined the Stones back in 1963 and played with them for over 50 years. In tribute, Mick Jagger posted a photo of Charlie happily sitting behind his drums. Keith Richards posted a picture of just Charlie’s drums with a “Closed” sign hanging off the front.

One of the most iconic album covers in music history is the naked baby boy swimming toward a dollar bill on Nirvana’s 1991 album “Nevermind.” That baby boy is now 30-years-old and he is suing the band for child sexual exploitation and “distribution of private sexually explicit materials.” Spencer Elden was only 4-months-old when he was photographed completely naked for the album cover. In his lawsuit, Spencer says not only could he not legally consent to his image being used, the band promised his parents that his pee-pee would be covered by a sticker. It wasn’t. And beyond the $200 his parents were paid on the day of the photo shoot, Spencer was never paid a dime. But on top of all that, Spencer said the photo has caused him to suffer permanent physical, psychological, and financial harm, so he’s suing everybody he can think of — the surviving band members, Kurt Cobain’s estate, Courtney Love, the photographer, the art director, managers, and the record labels. He wants $150,000 from each plaintiff. But it’s interesting to note that Spencer has “Nevermind” tattooed across his chest and he’s repeatedly recreated the pose over the years — as a teenager and an adult — while wearing a swimsuit, of course. But in most interviews, he says he has mixed feelings about being famous for the album cover and whether he was exploited by it.

MTV’s VMAs are coming up on Sunday, Sept. 12. More performers have been announced for the show, including Shawn Mendes, Doja Cat, Chloe from Chloe x Halle, and Twenty One Pilots. They join the previously announced Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly and Olivia Rodrigo.

Variety has a new list of what some A-List actors earn per episode of their TV series. Earning $400K per episode are David Harbour and Winona Ryder for “Stranger Things,” Jason Sudeikis for “Ted Lasso,” Sara Gilbert and John Goodman for “The Conners,” and Henry Cavill for “The Witcher.” Alec Baldwin earns $575K for each episode of “Dr. Death.” Steve Martin and Martin Short each earned $600K for each episode of “Only Murders in the Building,” which is also what Kate Winslet earned for each episode of “Mare of Easttown.” Bryan Cranston cashes a $750K check for each episode of “Your Honor.” But Chris Pratt is on some show I’ve never heard of called “Terminal List” and Variety says he gets $1.4M per episode!

Over the weekend, Ben Affleck was spotted looking at engagement rights at Tiffany’s with his three kids and his mom. It didn’t take long for gossip sites to assume he was looking for engagement rings for Jennifer Lopez. He even had a pen and paper and it looked like he was taking notes! But did we not learn anything from the video for “Jenny from the Block”? Things are not always what they seem! A source told E! News that Ben and his kids were on a scavenger hunt and one of the stops happened to be Tiffany’s. They found what they needed, Ben crossed it off , and off they went to find the next thing on the list.
