Wyclef Jean Wrongfully Handcuffed

Chuck Barris passed away… Another setback for Kesha… Yolanda Hadid’s new series… William Shatner is NOT a fan of THE Bachelor… and Wyclef Jean wrongfully handcuffed

Children, ask your parents about “The Gong Show.” And then tell them that Chuck Barris died and watch them get very sad. He was 87. Chuck not only hosted “The Gong Show,” he created it. He’s also the brain behind “The Dating Game” and “The Newlywed Game.” Later in life, he wrote in his autobiography Confessions of a Dangerous Mind that he was an undercover assassin for the CIA. Nobody believed him but they did make a movie about it. George Clooney directed it.

Kesha has suffered another setback in her legal dispute with Dr. Luke. She’s been fighting him forever, it seems, over sexual assault accusations. Kesha’s legal team filed a petition arguing that she should be released from her contract with Dr. Luke’s label because of unpaid royalties and the fact that Dr. Luke wasn’t willing to help her put out a third album. But Dr. Luke’s lawyers say she’s the one who owes the label $3.1 million in royalties and that she didn’t give a 30-day notice to end her contract. Yesterday, a NY Supreme Court Justice sided with Dr. Luke, who is still suing Kesha for smearing his name with allegations of sexual abuse.

When she was on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” we got to watch Yolanda Hadid’s two daughters start their modeling careers, and just look at Bella and Gigi Hadid now! Yolanda is no longer a Real Housewife, but she’s ready to be back on TV. She’s the executive producer and star of a new Lifetime series called “Model Moms.” Yolanda will mentor aspiring teenage models and their “momagers” during an 8-week program focusing on what it takes to be in the cut-throat business of modeling. The winner receives a management contract with Yolanda’s company and the chance to be represented by IMG Models.

Who knew William Shatner was a fan of “The Bachelor”? Well, let me rephrase that. He’s a fan of the show. He’s just NOT a fan of THE Bachelor, Nick Viall. In fact, Mr. Shatner despises Nick so much, he’s started a Twitter campaign to get him kicked off the show! He tweeted Monday night, “My goal for #DWTS is to knock Bachelor Nick out ASAP. Who is with me? Whoever your favorite is – just not Nick- make the 10 phone calls for them.” Nick saw the tweet and responded with a sad face emoji. His professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd saw it, too, and responded with three crying faces. That made Mr. Shatner feel bad, but no THAT bad. He responded, “Peta, you know I love you. Congratulations on becoming a mommy. Just can’t cheer you on this season. Love to Maks & Shia.”

The LA County Sheriff’s Department has apologized to Wyclef Jean for handcuffing him because they thought he might’ve just robbed a gas station. While they had him cuffs, deputies got word the real armed robber was caught few blocks away so they let him go. They issued a statement, saying, “It is unfortunate that Mr. Jean was detained for six minutes during this investigation, as he had no involvement whatsoever in this violent crime. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is apologetic for any inconvenience this process caused Mr. Jean.” That’s not really good enough for Mr. Jean. He didn’t appreciate how he was treated, saying before he could even identify himself, they slapped the cuffs on him. Wyclef posted the video of his detainment. He said, “LAPD another case of mistaken identity. Black man with red bandana robbed a gas station as I was in the studio working but I’m in handcuffs?”
