At the Amazon upfronts yesterday, it was confirmed that Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company is developing a Legally Blonde prequel series, which will follow Elle Woods through her high school years. No word yet on who will play Elle, even though there’s speculation it could be Reese’s daughter, Ava. But at 24, she may be too old to pull it off. Some are also wondering if Reese will appear in flash-forward scenes, but we really know nothing beyond the fact the prequel is going to happen. And at the Disney upfront, Selena Gomez and David Henry revealed the Wizards of Waverly Place spinoff they’re producing will be called Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Selena will appear as Alex Russo at least in the premiere episode, while David — who played her big brother Justin — will be a series regular. In the spinoff, Justin is married to Giada and their share two sons, Roman and Milo. The premise of the series is that Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor a wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World. Look for it later this year.

The Golden Bachelorette will premiere this fall, airing on Wednesday nights ahead of Abbott Elementary.

Childish Gambino has been resurrected! Donald Glover posted on X that ATAVISTA is now streaming, and this this record is actually the “finished version” of his 2020 album 3.15.20. It was on that date that several Childish Gambino songs dropped on DonaldGloverPresents.com, but were quickly removed. A week later, the album officially came out, with guest appearances including Ariana Grande and 21 Savage. But it was eventually removed from all streaming platforms. But now the reimagined album is back out, with new songs Atavista and Human Sacrifice. After a little over 2 years as chief of staff for Yeezy, Milo Yiannopoulos is stepping away, but not closing the door on working with Kanye in the future. Kanye’s plan to take over the adult film industry isn’t resonating with Milo’s spirit. He gave a copy of his resignation letter to TMZ, which read: “I cannot be complicit in the production or dissemination of pornographic films and literature, for moral and religious reasons, but also because such material and the kind of people invariably involved in its production represent an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual. I tender my resignation. I will deliver an orderly handover by Friday, May 31, 2024, or the first pornography shoot, whichever is sooner. If, at some time in the future, the company publicly and permanently abandons any plan to produce, distribute, or profit from obscene content, it would be an honor to serve you again. Yours, Milo Yiannopoulous” Milo also told TMZ, “I wish Ye every success in the future. I have some concerns about his new team, and hope he proceeds with caution.” It’s been previously reported that Kanye has been talking to Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband Mike Moz about running the porn studio for him. And it’s not just Milo who has left the company. TMZ says several of Kanye’s key staffers hit the road over the past few weeks.
