If — like me — you completely forgot the People’s Choice Awards were on last night, I went to the trouble of looking up a few of the winners for you. The People chose “The Hunger Games” as their Favorite Movie of the Year. Jennifer Lawrence was chosen as Favorite Actress and Robert Downey, Jr. as Favorite Actor. Moving over to TV, “The Big Bang Theory” won Favorite Comedy and “Grey’s Anatomy,” Favorite Drama. And in the world of music, the People chose Jason Mraz and Katy Perry as their Favorite Male and Female Artists, and One Direction won Favorite Song for “What Makes You Beautiful” and Favorite Album for “Up All Night.”
So Brent Musburger went on and on and ON about Katherine Webb as she was sitting in the stands, cheering on her QB boyfriend AJ McCarron as he led Alabama to another national championship. For some reason, ESPN felt the need to apologize for that, but Katherine is like, No apology necessary!! She became an overnight sensation — gaining more than 100K new Twitter followers and interview requests from all over the country. She had them lined up one after the other! She was so excited!! So what’s the problem? Well, that would be AJ McCarron’s ego. Sources told TMZ that AJ let Katherine know that he is NOT happy with the media ignoring him and shining the spotlight on her. So basically, stop doing all these interviews. So Katherine canceled everything she’d already agreed to do, but threw in that the decision to cancel the interviews was her idea and not AJ’s. Whatever.
Adele is finally ready to show off her postpartum body! She is lined up to appear at the Golden Globes this Sunday, where her song “Skyfall” from the James Bond movie is up for Best Original Song. We really haven’t seen Adele since she gave birth to a baby back in June. Maybe one of the reporters will get her to finally reveal her son’s name…
Britney Spears is one and done. She’s not coming back to judge “The X Factor” next year. And despite what Kidd Kraddick says about her being fired, Britney quit, y’all!! She only had a one-year, $15 million contract anyway. But sources while she really enjoyed her judging experience, music is her thing. So she’s just going to concentrate on that in 2013.
Lindsay Lohan is being accused of stealing an expensive bracelet that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor. When she was preparing for her role in “Liz & Dick,” Lindsay became friend’s with Elizabeth’s long-time nurse. Lindsay went to the woman’s home and she showed her this bracelet Liz had given her when she was still alive. Lindsay oohed and ahhed over it. Well! When Lindsay left, the nurse couldn’t find that bracelet. She knew Lindsay HAD to have stolen it. So she started texting her to bring it back, but Lindsay denied she stole it. Finally, when the woman threatened to call the police, Lindsay’s assistant returned the bracelet.
