Bachelorette Emily Maynard is hoping Dancing with the Stars can do for her what it did for Melissa Rycroft. Yes, she has signed on as a contestant for next season. She’s known about it for 6 months. In fact, when Emily signed her contract to be the Bachelorette, ABC also had her commit to DWTS. One source told “Star” magazine that Emily thinks dancing will help pave the way for her to get her own talk show.
SPOILER ALERT: “The Voice” lost two more contestants last night, so now they’re down to the final four. From Team Blake, America saved Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope, and from Team Cee Lo, Trevin Hunte and Nicholas David made the cut. Adam Levine lost both of his remaining contestants — Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown. So now he and Christina Aguilera have nobody left in the competition.
Happy 27th birthday today to Frankie Muniz. But it almost wasn’t quite so happy for him. This past Friday, Frankie says his friends noticed he was acting really weird and they couldn’t understand the words coming out of his mouth. They all got freaked out and rushed him to the emergency room and that’s when doctors told Frankie that he’d suffered a mini-stroke! Doctors don’t know what caused it yet. They’re still waiting for the test results. We don’t know yet if this will affect Frankie’s tour. Yes, I said tour. Frankie’s band Kingsfoil is supposed to start touring on Friday.
“Star” is reporting that Tina Simpson has turned to alcohol to get over the mess of her marriage. Tina left her husband, Papa Joe Simpson, after 34 years of marriage. And sources say she has been rocked by all of these stories of her husband’s gay affairs. Sources say Jessica is afraid her mother is going to spin completely out of control, and that she is asking her to get some help before she becomes too dependent on alcohol. A source told “Star” that Tina has always been a social drinker, but since her marriage fell apart, she’s switched from wine to scotch and vodka.
Rob Kardashian went off on a Twitter rampage about his girlfriend cheating on him with 20 guys, but he never said it was Rita Ora. We all just ASSUMED he was talking about Rita Ora. Now, according to Perez Hilton, Rita finally responded with her own tweet: “Rob’s (BLANK) was whack. I had to get it somewhere else.” And then Perez says Rob tweeted back, “So you let me get you pregnant and you let others (BLANK)?” Now, according to Rob, those tweets didn’t happen. He says Perez photoshopped those tweets.
