Three years ago, Teddi Mellencamp was diagnosed with Stage II melanoma – the most dangerous form of skin cancer. Since then, she’s undergone 16 surgical procedures to remove melanomas, leaving her back with a huge zig-zag scar. But a few weeks ago, Teddi started suffering from debilitating headaches, and doctors discovered that tumors had been growing on her brain for at least 6 months. She had emergency surgery on Wednesday to remove the two largest tumors. The smaller ones will be treated later with radiation. Last night, her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave posted on his Instagram Story, “So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well. That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”

So here’s the dilemma — you’ve filed a lawsuit against your former employer accusing them of being a bullying racist. Do you drop it after she’s been diagnosed with brain tumors?  Teddi’s former housekeeper and live-in nanny Julia Umana filed a lawsuit accusing Teddi of several wrongdoings, including racial discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and unpaid wages. According to TMZ, Julia claims Teddi worked her like a dog and treated her way worse than her white employees. Julia — who is from El Salvador — claims Teddi mocked her for speaking Spanish and used a nasty tone to speak to her, something she never did with her white employees. She claims Teddi also accused her of stealing from her, even though there were cameras all over her house. When Julia had enough, she told Teddi she was going to quit, only to have Teddi pressure her into working three 12-hour shifts for a measly $325. When Julia complained about the low pay, Teddi fired her. Now she’s suing Teddi for $2M in damages. 

Shakira is coming off a rough season of life. After 11 years together and two beautiful sons, Shakira discovered Gerard Piqué was cheating on her. She was accused of cheating Spain out of paying $15M in income taxes and ended up settling for a suspended 3-year sentence and $7.6M fine. And now, Shakira is being accused of ripping off Beyoncé! After kicking off her new tour in Rio this week, fans found some pretty blatant similarities to Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour. For instance, Shakira has a huge screen with an image of her on it, plus her name and the title of her album and tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,  which translates to “Women Don’t Cry Anymore.” Beyoncé did something similar on her tour. Shakira also has a huge metallic wolf prop, which is reminiscent of Beyoncé’s giant silver horse. And Shakira and her dancers are wearing silver, much like Beyoncé and HER dancers. IS imitation the highest form of flattery? Or is this plagiarism?

In honor of their 20th anniversary as a band, the Jonas Brothers announced this morning JONASCON! This one-day only event is happening on March 23 at American Dream, a massive entertainment and retail center in East Rutherford, NJ. It’s a little nod to their early days performing in malls. According to People, JONASCON will feature live performances, DJ sets, Q&A panels, fan activations, pop-up surprises, immersive experiences and social guest appearances. Closing arguments in A$AP Rocky’s assault trial began yesterday. The trial began on Jan. 24 and Rihanna has shown up a couple times to support her man. But for the start of closing arguments, Rihanna didn’t just show up alone…she brought her and Rocky’s 2-year-old son RZA and 18-month-old Riot, both little suits for extra cuteness.  Rocky is charged with two felony account of assault with a semiautomatic firearm over an altercation with his former friend, A$AP Relli. Rocky turned down a plea deal that could’ve led to just 180 days behind bars. Now he faces up to 24 years if he’s convicted. He and Rihanna are hoping those cute babies showing up in court will have an impact on the jury’s decision. 

Apparently, Hitler was the final straw. Bianca Censori reportedly has had enough of Kanye. A source told Page Six that Bianca is “exhausted” by Kanye’s antisemitic rants and his decision to sweep a swastika shirt on his website. The source said, “She’s been an awesome wife and awesome collaborator, she’s been through so many crazy moments, but this one may be unsurvivable.”  In their 2 years of marriage, this isn’t the first time rumors of divorce have circulated. But multiple outlets are saying that this time around, Kanye and Bianca have reached an agreement that would pay her $5M and allow her to remain at Kanye’s $35M mansion in LA. Meantime, Kanye’s rep is denying these rumors, saying, “Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press.”
