Simon Cowell was on his way to “The X Factor” auditions in Greensboro, NC, when he realized he was hungry and he pulled into a diner. Simon was loving those grits a little too much and decided to take his sweet time enjoying them, leaving everybody else waiting. LA Reid was fuming by the time Simon showed up 45 minutes late. He couldn’t believe he was so self-centered that he kept an audience of 5000, the contestants and all the other judges waiting. But at least Simon brought his leftovers, which Britney Spears was happy to share.
As far as the rumor that Emily Maynard ends up with “Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison, a source close to Chris says it’s not true. In fact, this source says the only way Emily and Chris communicate is by text and Twitter. Another source says it is true that Emily was very concerned about each of the bachelors financial backgrounds, wanting to make sure that each of them were home-owners who could give her a comfortable life. And it’s no coincidence that her final two Bachelors, Arie and Jef with One F, are both VERRRRRRRY comfortable.
It’s been confirmed: The final book in the Hunger Games trilogy will be split into two movies. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” is set to debut in theaters on November 21, 2014, and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” will be ready to go on November 20, 2015. By the way, the second movie based on the second book in the “Games” trilogy — “Catching Fire” — will begin shooting soon and is scheduled to be released on November 22 of next year.
Sofia Vergara celebrated her 40th birthday surrounded by her closest family and friends on a resort on the Riviera Maya. And she was super excited to show off her birthday present — an engagement ring! She and Nick Loeb broke up a couple of months ago, but apparently they worked things out in a big way. Nick popped the question at the Mayan ruins and she happily said yes.
A source told the “LA Times” that one of Katie Holmes‘ “friends” gave her a disposable cell phone to contact her lawyers and set the wheels in motion for her divorce from Tom Cruise. This source says under the advisement of her attorney father, Katie managed to hire three law firms in three different states, move into a new downtown Manhattan apartment, and get a new cellphone number without Tom ever finding out. Katie knew she had to have everything locked down when she filed, and that when she finally pulled the trigger on June 28, Tom was completely blindsided. And since she was so well-prepared, the two sides were able to reach an agreement in just 11 days. Meantime, Katie has officially returned to the Catholic church. She’s already registered as a parishioner at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City.
