Tom Cruise Hurt While Filming Mission Impossible 6

Shondaland heads to Netflix… Celebs doing good things… More on the DJ’s lawsuit against Taylor Swift… Katy Perry back with Orlando Bloom… Tom Cruise hurt doing his own stunts.

Shonda Rhimes is breaking up with ABC! Netflix announced last night that they’ve signed Shonda to a multi-year deal to produce new shows for them. Shonda told the Wall Street Journal that part of her reason for leaving ABC was to be free of the restrictions that come with network television, as in censorship. Even though Shonda is leaving ABC, she’s not taking any of her current ABC shows with her. “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How To Get Away With Murder” and “Scandal” are staying behind.

In Celebrities Doing Good news, Britney Spears announced that one dollar from every ticket sold to her Vegas show through the end of the year will go to help schools damaged by flooding in Louisiana. And Bruno Mars is donating a million dollars from his concert in Michigan to help people affected by the Flint water crisis.

God bless you Michigan!

A judge has thrown out a morning show DJ’s lawsuit against Taylor Swift, saying it isn’t possible to prove that she got him fired for allegedly grabbing her booty. But the judge will allow David Mueller’s claims against Taylor’s mom and radio manager to proceed. Last week, Taylor’s radio manager testified that her mom Andrea wanted him to make sure that Mueller was fired, but he said he only asked the station’s management to investigate the situation and take action. And the marketing manager for the station testified that he never promised anyone from Taylor’s team that he would fire Mueller, but said he would give all the fact fair consideration. Meantime, Taylor’s countersuit against Mueller continues this week, with closing arguments expected from both sides.

Back in February, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced they were taking some “respectful, loving space” from each other. But it looks like six months was enough! The two of them went to Ed Sheeran’s concert in LA on Saturday and someone who was backstage saw them holding hands.

Tom Cruise loves to do his own stunts, but he may be rethinking that after injuring himself on the set of “Mission: Impossible 6.” While filming in London yesterday, Tom was attached to a harness and tried to make a running jump from one rooftop to the next, but he missed. Twice. Video shows him slamming into the side of the building and then limping in pain. We’re not sure how badly he was injured. Neither the movie studio nor Tom’s reps have commented.
