Gene Simmons spent his Father’s Day with his daughter Sophie at “The X Factor” auditions in San Francisco. Yeah, Sophie said she wanted a fair shot and told the judges, “This isn’t about my dad. This is about my audition.” Yeah….we’re all buying that. Sophie says she called her daddy the night before and said she was sorry she couldn’t be with him on Father’s Day because of her audition, so Gene made the decision to hop on a private jet and fly down to watch his kid do her thing. No word on how it went. We just have to wait and be surprised.
Jack Osbourne has announced that he’s been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He’s only 26…he just became a new dad…and he told “People” magazine, “I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘Why now?'” Jack says he was diagnosed 2 weeks after Pearl Clementine was born. He was having trouble with his vision and doctors confirmed that he’d lost 60% of the vision in his right eye and that led them to the diagnosis.
Last year they were rumored to be dating, and now it looks like Scarlett Johansson and Bradley Cooper may be taking another swing at this. The two of them were seen having a flirtatious dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant at the Bel Air Hotel last week. An eyewitness says Scarlett was wearing a very low-cut dress and was totally working her “charms.” But I thought she was still with that NY ad exec, Nate Naylor. So I googled him and have decided that she dumped him because she’s had enough of his immature nonsense. Apparently Nate has a Tumblr that he updates often with rather juvenile pictures of his drunk self and lots of naked ladies. Sounds like a dreamboat, right?
An hour before Radiohead was set to perform a concert at Downsview Park in Toronto, their stage collapsed, killing one crew member and injuring 3 others. The man who was killed has been identified as 33-year-old Scott Johnson, who was a drum technician for the band. The band members are said to be “shattered” by the death of their friend. Two other crew members were treated at the scene for their injuries and another was taken to the hospital with a head injury. He is said to be improving. The concert was canceled and a team of inspectors and engineers have been going through the rubble, trying to determine what caused the stage to collapse.
More news coming out over the weekend about the Chris Brown/Drake fight at W.i.P. Nightclub in NYC. How interesting was it to find out that Tony Parker was injured in that fight! He was actually hanging out with Chris when the fight broke out and he ended up with a scratched retina. Tony said he doesn’t know what happened exactly but bottles were flying everywhere. At first, he thought his eye was okay, and he hopped on a plane to Paris. But it got worse and worse on the flight, so the moment the plane landed, he went straight to the emergency room. Also, we have our first lawsuit! Lucy Pavlovsky thought it was her lucky night to be hanging VIP at W.i.P. But she ended up with a couple of cuts on her arm that required 12 stitches and a tetanus shot. No word on exactly who she’s suing because, as her attorney said, “At this moment, we are exploring all options on who will become a defendant.” Meantime, the club has been shut down indefinitely for all sorts of code violations.
