A guy filmed the five stages of his dad watching a movie on a weekday. It starts with dad looking from afar. He’s interested but will feel unproductive if he stops to watch. At stage two he moves in for a closer inspection.

By stage three his hand is on the couch, and you can tell he wants to. At stage four he’s ON the couch and is almost committed. It’s stage five when he’s officially watching, but is also rummaging through paperwork to feel productive.
