Today’s overachieving teacher is Diondra Tatum and she is planning on using the money to purchase feminine pads, travel size deodorants and quick snacks for her classes! Read what she wrote below.
“I know this is not a typical classroom want, but I teach at all girls Magnet school in Dallas and I would love to use the $500 towards purchasing feminine pads, travel size deodorants and quick snacks for my classes! I currently purchase these items out of pocket! I teach Health and PE and I like the students to have snacks to eat if they didn’t before Physical Education (granola bars, crackers). Having feminine pads in my class helps them to not have to always go downstairs to the school nurse or for an unexpected monthly guest! This would also be a great help for the girls in need!”
