Today’s overachieving teacher is Catherine Olivier and she is planning on using the money to purchase folk lever harps! Read what she wrote below.

“I would like to use the $500 toward purchasing folk lever harps for my orchestra program. I am a middle school orchestra director in Lubbock, TX who started a harp program a few years ago to accompany the violins, violas, cellos, and basses already in my program. Since then, the program has grown exponentially and I don’t have enough harps for the amount of students interested in playing. The harps that I would like to purchase are small enough for students to travel between school and home (so they can practice their instrument) and introduce beginners to the beautiful instrument.”
