Today’s overachieving teacher is Suzette Henderson and she is planning on using the money to provide an Outdoor Wildlife Learning Site for students! Read what she wrote below.
“We are working on putting in an O.W.L.S. at our our school. That stands for Outdoor Wildlife Learning Site. Our goal is to try to get our students and our community outside more, and to appreciate nature. Kids spend so much time on electronic devices and I feel like getting them outside more is so important. We are going to put in a small micro depression seasonal wetland area, pollinator beds, and walking paths throughout a 2 acre lot by our school. We’ll need to purchase bird houses, bird feeders, flowers, trees, and so much more! This $500 would help out so much!”
Deserving teachers could win $500 for their class HERE!
