Today’s overachieving teacher is Sara Stallcup and she is planning on using the money to get materials for projects! Read what she wrote about her class below.

“I teach 27 kids in our Grow Your Own (teachers) program. Last year was the 1st yr that middle school could compete in the TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) competition. Students create lessons for a class, then present them to judges and compete against other middle school kids in Texas. They then move onto the National level if they make it. Last year we had 18 kids compete at Area and all 18 moved onto State; 8 went onto Nationals in Orlando, 3 won 1st place! We have 27 kids this year. We need materials for projects. We’re a Title 1 school and have to utilize fundraising.”
