Today’s overachieving teacher is Elizabeth Buchanan and she is planning on using the money to plan a community event! Read what she wrote about her class below.

“Let’s have a STEM-Pen SHOWDOWN! We opened our new STEM lab last year and parents always ask, “So, what is STEM?” As our campus STEM teacher, I am planning a community event to show them with a PILOT FriXion STEM-pen SHOWDOWN! Families will be able to participate in various hands-on STEM challenges using the new FriXion pens! I will be able to purchase FriXion pens, light bulbs, copper wire, hair dryers, compressed air, batteries, conductors, sandpaper, steel wool, tape and more so parents can experience STEM and never ask , “So, what is STEM?” again at Fields Elementary.”
